Wieee he made it safely back, great achievement after years of preparation! Didn't get the longest free-fall but he was travelling much faster then Joe so it's not a biggie, almost 1200kph, NOT BAD
Yeah I kinda agree on how it can look with all these problems to even get it started, but we don't know how many tries they actually did back in the 60's before JK could actually do it. This was only day 2 of waiting for Felix.
Fully understand the abortion. But man poor Felix, so mentally hard to not get to do it, you wait and wait and wait in excitement, and prepare yourself mentally over and over again, and then aborted. Hope for better luck tomorrow.
Yeah baby, my legs have been going up and down the last hour and half while waiting for the countdown. What an amazing kick it will be for Felix, I've jumped from 12.000 feet 350+ times and we only have 1 minute free-fall before we pull our chutes, oh man the feeling from do it from 10x that height.
Seems like the weather gods are with them this morning, really hope they get to do it today and that Felix lands safely, so much can go wrong with this.
E: Here and here is proof incase someone thinks I'm bullshitting.
Yeah I saw that live, yelled at Isaac 'watchout watchout, angry angus is out of fuel exit of last corner'! Really lucky there, would've been hell to kickstart it on gear all the way to pits if it had stopped just before the hell
I think our camp has calmed down a bit since the race now, even when getting the championship it's not easy to look at the bright side when the worst performance comes in the final race. Not saying we were that bad but things just didn't work out the way we planned, I think we were right there with Tomek and Joe start of stint but we were missing something end stint.
That SC could've saved us, and I don't want to sound cliché, but technical problems on our side actually made it worse for us. Outstanding performance by 3id though, they deserved the win. And unfair or not, Vortex was there to challenge us when it was needed so plaudits to them aswell.
I was supposed to only help out from midpoint of the season to the end as Isaac was having priorities then, but being away from lfs for a year actually made me appriciate how fun it's to do endurance racing with proper driver swaps, it's a much better atmosphere to work with setups in lfs and it's a greater feeling of achievement when you've all done a good job to take a win.
Congrats to GenR for taking the AM win, also to CoRe for great fights in the Pro class. Thanks to admins, broadcasters and everyone racing for this season. Unfortenetly it looks like I will be missing GT1WS but best of luck to everyone with that!
Our race-plan played out quite nicely. Ilari did a good job minimising mistakes in Q and deserved that pole. I knew I had to get passed him at the start due to the heatpeak and after that kept an eye on his damage and noticed that he was struggling a bit and wall-e'd a few times which gave me a gap.
After CoRes early pit it was just about maintaining the gap and give Matti a clean car so he could do his crazy laps, now that I think about it I should've put damage on it instead so he wouldn't humiliate me with his FL :sadbanana
Grats Isaac and Mikko who showed XRR isn't slow here when in right hands and GenR for taking final podium spot, see ya'll in the final round.
