thanks buddy.

Will this work for FXO - is it possible to keep the tyres cool on that?
Anyone got an endurance FXO set.

Hi,

Does anyone have an FXO set that can do more than 3/4/5 laps at any track.

I dont really mind what track its for cus I will just edit it for all the different ones. I just want a fairly quick set that lasts. My current one wont make 5 laps without red all over front 2 tyres.

Also any tips on quick edits you can do to make tyres lastlonger - especially on the front wheel drve cars.

Thanks

David.

Hi,

Just thought id say this as it seems to be a very underused car.

I was annoyed by the ridiculous twitch oversteer and seemingly impossible amount of understeer BUT then I tried a setup by Norbi and it really comes alive. The understeer is still there to an extent but now when you get on the power all you get is grip grip grip!

I now believe this is the best rear wheel drive car LFS has to offer, I urge everyone to try it with the attatched setup and hopefully we can increase the amount of people racing it online.

***Let me just say once again this is not my set! Its Norbis - in no way am i trying to take any credit for it!***
Unrealistic clutch

Hi,

I dont have a 3 pedal set but the other night I made my brake pedal a clutch to see how realistic it was. One thing glared at me - the whole range of the pedal engages the clutch. I dont know about race cars but in road cars you have a "bite point" in the middle where the clutch is being engaged and this isnt the whole pedal range. Essentially the top and bottom of the pedal range do nothing in a real car.

To fix this all the Devs need to do is make the top and bottom of the pedal not do anything and make the middle 20% the entire range of the clutch. This would seem much more realistic to me. I suppose this could also be achieved using DX tweak but i dont see why it isnt already in.

What do you think?

Hi,

Posted about this in the tech support forum but needed quick response.

I am having trouble running a dedicated server. I would really appreciate it if someone would try to connect to my server and see what happens.

The game name is "daves game"

Not sure how long it will be up for so please someone do it as soon as they see this.

THANKYOU!!

Dave.
Help setting up a dedicated server

Hi,

I have downloaded the dedicated host and run it on my second computer. I have set it up so that it connects to the master server and it tells me it is "online". However when I come to connect to it on my main computer it says "clientconnect: connect failed". this occurs if i try to connect over the internet. When i try to connect over my lan to the same server i connect just fine.

Is this occuring becuase I am connecting through the same ADSL connection? Can other people connect to it?

The server name is "daves game". I will keep it running could someone please try to connect to it and see if it works?

Thanks

Dave.
A request to server admins

I cannot see the point in having servers running all the cars, they are more often than not empty and becasue all the cars are different speeds no-one can really race each other.

I think it would be much better if each server ran a particular set of cars, for example GTR, XFR/UFR, UF1, TBO. etc etc, that way there would be more genuine races going on at any one time and more choice of servers for players.

What do you think??

Dave.
