I'm using the drivers seat out of a Ford Sierra and it's very comfortable and adjustable. It doesn't swizzle as I just made a small frame out of wood for it, but it shouldn't be too hard to attach it to the frame of a swizzely chair. When I tried this I ended up a lot too high though, so make sure you have a low swizzely chair to start with.

I'm also planning on using the pedals out of the Sierra, but havent got round to making those useable yet.

Quote from ColeusRattus :Hmm.. i can only utter the standard DFP-Pedal-Solution (though I have yet to encounter one myself... only a month old Rev.B00 works quite good :P):

Clean the potentiometers.

I think that's a seperate problem. I also have very juddery flickery pedals when they are working unless I clean them every couple of days. It might just be because my room is dirty that I have this problem particularly bad I've given up on any racing games for now while I make my own pedals. I find it impossible to enjoy the game with these

I'm hoping that the problem the OP talks of is just a driver problem or there's likely something wrong with the electronics in the wheel it's self and not just the pedals I expect.

I have that too except both accelerator and brake positions aren't altered unless the steering position is altered. The only thing I've found to get rid is to unplug and plug back in the wheel

To say the wheel is so good, from my experience of them it is staggering how incredibly poor the pedals are

It appears there is a 'Ban/Unban' section in the lfs section of the forum, you could ask there. Like you I don't speak much german, so I don't understand the bit underneath that. I guess it cant hurt to post there though, what's the worst that can happen?

I got 3 As (Physics, Maths and Further Maths) and a B (Chemistry) and a U (General Studies), which I'm very happy with! Didn't have a uni offer so can't really answer the second part.

Well done to everyone who met their offers!

Not voting has to count as a no vote, or when the first vote for restart has been cast it would be 1 yes against 0 no's, so it would pass instantly as a 100% yes vote.

Requiring a no vote, even if it maybe counts as double wouldn't work I think. It would be a race to press no quick before all the restarters vote yes (which is usually pretty quick ).

Maybe there just needs to be an option to up the %age of voters required for a pass.

I haven't been online yet since the new patch so I don't know if the new time limits added have made things better or not.

The files go on lfs/data/layout

To use the layout pick the Blackwood car park track in single player (I don't think it works in hot lapping, just single player), then press Shift+U and then click load layout.

Edit: Oh and to edit layouts you need to change 'Place objects' to Yes on the left hand side of the screen in Shift+U mode.

Great stuff! Hopefully the move will go smoothly and not end up splitting the community in 2.
