I am not sure if i have understand everything.

But i have driven on servers where a false start has just lead to a time penalty(which i would also prefer as admin, because its realistic), and not an automatic spectator penalty.

So it is possible to do so.

I hope it will come. No matter if it not happens in actual race cars.

Imagine you drive close behind someone for some laps in a race and he flashes up sparks down the straight because he touches bottom. Would be so cool

Well at least there are two things very unrealistic in LFS.

Damage and Setups.

Both miles away from good and real.
Things which needs really to improve soon i think, or i will loose fun with this game.

KI Bugs in SO Town Course i experienced today:

- KI drives in your rear if you are not fast enough.

- Settings werde made for a 60min Quali and 10 laps race. 10KI drivers
All with FBM.

In quali the KI drove in pits after some laps(about 5), and then never goes out again. They just stand still in their pit boxes.

Amazing! Great!

The game is more and more going its way to a complete simulation of a whole driver teammanager combination !

Maybe in the future there is the driver and his racing chief. The one is driving, the other guy is doing the setups, looking the race from TV, BirdEye and gives informations to his driver(s) by teamspeak or whatever. Both with its own monitors and own situations WOW!!!

Yes, i downshift like in patch x. Maybe that is a problem. I will try to figure that out.

I would really like it. It could be done with an oil temperature indicator. Or a oil lamp in the formula cars.

Would be the middle of realism and help.

Hello, there is a thing where i can't figure out the reason at the moment.

AS Club, 10 laps. My first laps are middle 1.02s then while racing the top speed is decreasing drastically. Beginning, with about 225km/h, and then from lap 5 about 220km/h.

The clutch is absolute ok. Tyre temperature is nearly constant or at least not red.

I have a feeling that i loose engine power?
In my setup i have the preload set to 0. Is that maybe the problem?

Its a little bit frustrating, because in the last laps i can only do 1.04s or high 1.03s. I do not know why i loose the speed!?
Is it possible to harm the engine with wrong downshifting maybe?

I hope anyone can explain or help

That should have been the reason.

So its not a bug, but very bad handling from the game.
That should be changed in the future i think, it is unrealistic and other games were able to handle this years ago.

Hello, i want to report an bug which i got in a league race on saturday.
The race was for 39 laps. In lap 3 me and another driver had to pitstop because of damage.
After the stop i did not get any gap times in the following laps to the drivers in front of me.

I was on prelast position after that and only got the gap times to the other driver who stopped and now was on last position.
Also the other driver who did his stop in lap 3 only got the gap times to me and not the other drivers in front of him after that stop.
We were both not lapped.

All the other drivers got ther split times all the time.
That was really annoying because i could not see if i could close the gap or not.
At one point in the race, i think somewhere about half the distance, the gap times came back!?

Maybe Scawen reads it and can fix it?
I have the replay if anybody wants to see.

I am worry that this is an unknown bug and will also be in the new patch.

You definately do not need a new pc, it are driver issues, i am quite sure. I had an logitech pad and there i got fps problems if i had rumble-force activated.

Even with a logitech mouse i had problems earlier. So in my opinion logitech has bad drivers.

First off all just try it with no FF activated. With my pad i helped.
Of course it is just to test if it is a problem from there. I think so.

Customizing the LCd would also help

@deggis: The Fo8 has 450? Maybe thats the problem ... I will try it tomorrow.

If i would have looked at it with opened eyes i should have noticed that,lol. Shame on me.

And how much has the FOX exactly?

@CSU1: I have a momo ff. My wheel steering is set to 240 deg. I try wheel compensation from 0 to 1 and back, but no setting is really correct. I drive only open wheelers. I know that the fo8 e.g. has a ingame lock of 270 deg. There is no way to have it absolut correct anyway.
And the relation between wheel and cockpit steering behaviour is definately not correct too.

@Bob and mrodgers: like i wrote i do not like to drive with no ingame wheel, because the virtual information display is crap. To big and in wrong position if you have another view in cockpit.

So a static wheel would be the best option. The drivers who want it could turn the moving wheel off. Others let it move. Simple!

@Dajmin: Me too

Maybe someone of you do remember the old Grand Prix series from Microprose. There was only a static ingame wheel. Thats how i would like it to have

Just a very smalll "improvement" which should only take about 10minutes for Scawen to implement.

An option that the wheel in the cockpit does not turn.
But it should stay there. So for me it is confusing to see the wheel in a diffeerent lock than my wheel at home.
Also the relation to wheel lock in game and turning rate from the car is not realistic.
So it would be better to have a static wheel option but with the display in it.

The virtual display if you turn off the visual wheel in game is very bad and to big.

1.) Damage modell
2.) Replay interface (backward and pause, timebar, and mouse ability with buttons.)
3.) extern view sounds.
4.) Instant replay for admins too watch start situations
5.) Don't repair option for pitstops !!!!!

Hi, short question.
I have admin rights for an LFS server and my question is if it is somehow possible to disable ALL votes for the users.

The votes=no option seems only to be for kick and bans.

But i want that users are not able to vote for qualifying, race.

Because i have set to practice. And it is not nice to be on a practice lap and become interuppted because a user votes for race and the practice session starts new.

I would enhance the idea.
Why do we have to go in an diffeent screen when adjust the setup. the car vanishes.

i would like to see some buttons with opacity to adjust setup, and the cars stays in pit, so you can see other drivers driving out of the pits while you adjust setups. and while adjusting there could be 4 simple mechanics maybe with a wrench or another tool in hand simple animated.

drives who drive out of pit could see the mechanics working on another car and then would know that this driver is adjusting at the moment. if he does nothing, there shouldbe no mechanics.

The best thing that can be done against wrecker is a much harder punishing and realistic damage model from the developers.

I am looking forward to it very much.
It should be very extreme like if you hit someone with about 90-100kph your race is over, or things like cutted of wheels and lost wings and things like this. A big crash should always take you out.

This is by the way the most important thing LFS should improve on.
From that day on, people will realise that it is the first rule not to crash in some other if you want to go on in the race.
I think this should bring a complete new racing experience
