GTM 2014: Server Information
Deutschland2007
S3 licensed
To make sure people can test and practice on the event server(s) without any issues, the server will be passworded between events aswell.

Server Name: & GenR GT Masters
Password: GTM2k14

The restrictions on the server are the ones as described by the rules:

FZR: 19% restriction
FXR: 21% restriction
XRR: 23% restriction

Since the the new GT2 restrictions for this season are lower than normal GT2 restrictions, a special class called GTM has been created to log the times seperately. To check the times on the server use the !top GTM command.

Server issues or problems should also be reported in this thread.

This is a very sad night. Michael, this is the most important GP of your life and you are going to win. #GoSchumi

Great tweet and all, it's fake though, Vettel doesn't use Twitter.

The whole situation doesn't sound that good overall though.

Quote from Bmxtwins :Nice idea. You should consider doing some sort of overlap of points between the two grids, and split them evenly to give both grids equal numbers unless total number of racers is less than 33

Ie p1 in lower split gets same points as p20 in higher split

The points overlap is already a done deal.

Quote from Deutschland2007 :Additionally, should the attendance require it, there is the possibility of a second grid which will race on the same day at exactly the same time, but for half points.

Expect some revisions to the rulebook before the first race, mainly two update it to include rules for two grids.

If you have any suggestions/objections/whatever else you want to say about the rulebook, feel free.

Quote from danielroelofs :Same question here!

I think the current situation will make things worse (Not that I think there is anything bad to the original situation). As far as I can see, people running wide will hit the wall and don't even come close the grass further on. I can't find one benefit personally to add this line.

Greets
Danny

There is one advantage, it's easier to see who runs the widest for the longest distance.

Session of Incident: Race
Lap AND MPR timecode of incident: Lap 53, 1h 22min 55s
Car(s) involved: 9, 30
Location of Incident: CS-2 and CS-3
Brief Description of Incident: On the approach to the underpass, Car 30 bumps Car 9 as it is trying to get passed some lapped traffic. On the way to the first braking zone Car 9 and 30 have to pass another GT2 car (73) resulting in both taking a tighter than usual line into the first real turn. Car 30 hits the inside curb running wide into Car 9 making us lose the position because of that in the next turn.

Deutschland2007

Post your skins for the 2014 Genuine Racing GT Masters. The requirements are:
Quote from GTM 2014 Rulebook Section E.1 :1. All car skins must display the required numberboards on both sides between the wheels and the bonnet/hood of the car as well as the provided sunstrip.
1.1) Any drivers who use skins which do not comply with the previous rule will be penalised with a two point penalty in a main event.
1.2) Skins must also be compliant with the skin regulations on lfsworld.net, meaning that they must not include any nudity, pornographic, racist or any other extremely offensive content. Any driver who's found to be using a skin that's violating these rules will be put on probation for the remainder of the season, or be excluded if necessary.

Note: Drivers with single digit car numbers (number 0 to 9) are not required to use double digit numbers on their numberboards (for example: 1 instead of 01).

Note 2: Skinners are adviced to not downscale the numberboards too much for use on their skins, numbers must be recognisable at first sight.

GTM 2014: Announcements

OVERVIEW

The majority of you voted for it, and now, it's back! The Genuine Racing GT Masters is back and hopes to return to its glory-days for the new season. The 3rd season of the championship will see a lot of continuity to the 2013 edition, but with some key changes being made to make the league easier to handle for the drivers.

The 24h-long qualifying sessions are being ditched in favour of a pre-qualifying session to determine who will be on the grid and a 20-minute qualifying session on raceday. Races will also be shorter than previously, being limited to a length of 75 minutes instead of 300 kilometres. Additionally, should the attendance require it, there is the possibility of a second grid which will race on the same day at exactly the same time, but for half points. What stays the same are the cars! After the very successful debut for GT2-spec cars in the GT Masters series all that's being changed about them are the restrictions in an attempt to create a level-playing field. Just like before, we'll be looking for a driver's and team's champion, but there will also be an unofficial cup for the drivers of each separate car model.

To go along with the championship itself, we will bring back our public GT2 server which will run several of the tracks used in the championship. This is something we've done previously, with the latest example being the public server antics before last year's Turbo Trophy. Through this we intend to make the championship more accessable for drivers who would otherwise not find out about it so easily, but also as a practice for racing against your championship opponents.

All teams and drivers are welcome to participate in the series, there is no limit on how many drivers may race for a team, but only the best two drivers of a team can score points towards the team's standings in each round.
