Thanks for late replies
I like em both but would prefer something between them. Not very colorful. Some street style tuned

Quote from Shadowww :It's the way they limit download speed. They give you e.g. 1MB at full speed, then they pause giving you the file for the time that would be needed to DL 1MB at limited speed (e.g. 24KB/s), when the time passes they give you one more piece, and it goes on.

this sucks...
Thanks for solving my problem

Quote from Framaris :we'll have an other test event like this on TBO server at AS2r.

Looks like it's gonna be a revenge from Masai
I'm not sure I can test it because of work but I'll try to manage some time for this event

Quote from danthebangerboy :I don't have any account with RS and its downloading at about 2.4mbps here.

On my machine speed was max but not constant. It was like on and off. Firefox told that it's 250kbps constant but it was really stopping. Firefox didn't told it.

So when I download something from rapidshare.com it looks like this...

Anybody can tell why is it like that?
It's so slow... I'm not sure how is it downloading from other sites...
I'll check it soon.
Thanks in advance

Quote :And the mouse1 accelerate,mouse2 brake?

yes
Quote :Is that bad,if i use Up arrow-accelerate,down arrow-brale,mouse1-clutch,mouse2/mouse3 upshift/downshift

It's not bad. Controls should fit to you.
But try this what i've told you. Most mouse users use similiar to this.

Buttons on mouse are fine for brake/throttle
and use close to each other buttons for shifting and clutching (on keyboard)
You may try to use handbrake in some corners so you should have also handbrake close to those buttons.
I'm racing on mouse and pedals. A - upshift; Z - downshift; and if I wouldn't have clutch pedal C would be clutch

Hey, I've been for a long while with LFS and I've never had some proper skin for my xfg. I'm pretty good with photoshoping but not really creative.
I can photoshop some photo but I just can't make something from nothing
So I have a request for my personal skin for XFG and if anyone will be so nice and make for me a FXO skin too I'll really be happy with that
Many years ago I've made some skin but it's not really impressive but I'd like to have something similiar to this one (both xfg and fxo)

I don't really preffer racing style skins. I don't like all those decals with sposnors stuff.
I'd like to have a little more "street racer" style than real racer.
It can have some similiar big text "DINO" on both sides but maybe with some more fancy font
It don't have to be black skin as this one. I don't really care about colour.
I just don't want to have any sponsor logos. Just "DINO" and maybe lfs.

Thanks
I've made a little mistake with setup too. But not so big as you say.
I've made 5th gear longer than it should for drafting (especially XRT wich is faster on straight).
But I wasn't drafting anyone because I was in pace whole race
It was really fun but I'd like to go another event with longer track.
Some longer Aston or Kyoto National at least. I don't prefer Ky3 (don't know why really) but some WE or long As would be great.

Quote from Highsider9 :Just finished (Well, almost finished) building my first Car Rig.
Inspired by these Sites (Number 1, Number2, Number 3) i managed to build a basic Setup out of Warehouse Items and a Manfrotto Magic Arm.

Can't wait to try it out on the Weekend.

Just a bump.
I can't make one before this winter so I'd like to your rig shots.
Just after winter I'll try to build one for myself.

I bought this wheel couple months ago and it was really great. Much better than DFP which i borrowed from my brother.
For drifting it was just superb. 270 degrees wasn't much realistic but got lot of fun with it.
But now wheel is broken...
First right paddle broken (not every time working) and then next thing...
Between 20deg left and 20deg right rotation wheel is completely imprecise.
I turn left about 5 degrees physically and in game it jumps to about 20 deg and than gets back to center...
I've got no guarantee so I won't do anything with it. I just left the very good pedals and play with them and steering with mouse.
So I don't recommend this wheel to anyone.

Quote from bluejudas :This is not an issue. You loose time by going on the grass because you can't use the full length of the straight to accelerate. I run an RX server(LFS Norge RX) and all the fast drivers keep off the grass, because you loose time...

I don't think so
Even with XFG fastest racers get 0.3-0.4 second faster time with grass.

Quote from DeadWolfBones :Oh, I wasn't suggesting it for you... I meant that I just bought it for myself.

I didn't get that as suggest but nevermind
So why you choose sigma 10-20?
just because it's sigma?

Quote from DeadWolfBones :Yet another purchase:

(Just sold the Pentax kit lens to upgrade.)

I'd rater buy something ultra-wide and sigma 28-70.
I've got 28-70 2.8 and it's just great.
Even better than Zeiss lenses wich has twice sigma's price.

Quote from DeadWolfBones :The Tokina 12-24mm would be my pick, but it's APS-C as well.

yea but Tokina lenses aren't with alpha mount atm.
But maybe this year it will be changed.

From a long time I'm thinking about buying ultra wide lens.
I've got Sony A300 so it can be APS-C lens but I'd rather go for full-frame.
Got any ideas?
I'm thinking about Tamron 10-24 but it's APS-C. Sigma 12-24 cost too much nowadays. If I wouldn't know prices from a year ago I'll buy sigma 12-24 but now is just too expensive.
Tamron 11-18 is cheaper but 10-24 seems to be better. I don't care about how much zoom it has. It can be even fixed lens about 12mm but there's none like this (ofcourse I can be wrong)
I don't want to buy fish-eye lens.
