S.Baker (username Bean0) is a fast racer of known pedigree. Stuart is a STCC Racer and can make the claim of being the first ever CTRA Titanium license holder. The following extract is taken from the CTRA 2007 Awards
"Stu successfully rose through the CTRA system faster than anyone else and was first to achieve the target CTRA licence status known to all as 'Titanium'. Stu's rise was positively ballistic, and confirmed him as one of the most exceptional and dedicated drivers to be involved in this, the public Live For Speed multiplayer racing community"
CTRA 2007 Awards
Stuart is currently competing in the RSWC in an FZ50 and looks forward to support from his new team mates. We all welcome Bean0 to the team and hope that he has a long and enjoyable stay with us.
Like most things in life, there are always more than one option
I tend to do the same LB, sometimes the guy infront wants you to go past and sometimes although you are much quicker you just slow down and not interfere with his race.
I won't say anything about what I think about you, everyone has said it already... and besides, if your head gets any bigger, those antlers will start causing drag rather than the desire mid corner downforce
If you are thinking like this ie, you don't know what the benefits are and you are not feeling like you are missing out on them, then there is no need too try and join a team at this stage
There is nothing in LFS that says you must be in a team, and there is nothing to say that you don't need to be in a team.
So people are happy playing on their own and some are happier playing in groups.... at the end of the day its completely personal preference.
IF you did want to join a team, then you have to look at whether or not you want to try and enter a team with little or no experience or it is to practice and practice and try going to another team.
But at the end of the day, it is about the people that are in the team that makes it enjoyable.
Its the same as being in a server where it is enjoyable to drive.... thats more enjoyable than driving around in a bunch of skins with people you don't know or can not relate too or have a social bonding just because you like the idea of being in a team.
Basically its horses for courses and there is no real right or wrong answer....... expect for stay away from drift and cruise teams
If you are driving in car and you use the look left or right button (to turn the full 90 degrees and you see half of your opponents car that is approximately over lap.
Of course this only counts if the guy is on the inside of the corner, if he is on the outside it's likely that you will be quicker around the corner, just make sure you leave enoough room for the pair of you to drive 2 wide.
Niels is an excellent example of how a GT1 Driver should be with the GT2 cars
My only critism is with some GT1 cars (which ultimately are passing becuase they joined late or have been off the road - rather than lapping) is that they dive past you in the braking zone at the end of the straight and then come to an almost stand still as ultimately on most mid to speed corners the GT2's have the edge on cornering speed
