I have noticed that in the game DiRT (I know, terrible game) that there is a force feedback option for "Stick". This just makes the wheel harder to turn, with absolutely no bouncing. Mafia also has a "global stick volume" which does the same thing. I wonder how it works?

On Bump n Jump, there was a big pileup in front of me in the first turn, and this one car got squeezed and flew in the air. I maneuvered through the wrecked cars, barely missing them, and thought I was in the clear, until about 100 feet later, that car landed on my roof. Luckily it just slid off and didn't do too much damage

Quote from Daveebee :Hi All, I have a small problem, but then again, some might call it a large problem. The fact is I have large feet (size 13 u.k.) Before i invest a lot of money on a G25 wheel I need to know if I, with my bloomin' great plates will be able to use the pedals (especially the brake pedal effectively)?. Can anyone tell me anything about the distance (between centres) of the three pedals? Thanks a lot.

Hi, I have huge feet, the same size as you, and the pedal size is no problem. I find using the pedals with no shoes on is easier if there is a size problem.

I was recently banned from http://forums.facepunchstudios.com for posting this model under a different name. They thought I stole it. This post is proof that I, Penis Colada/dude56/zinklesmesh/kitteh, made this model.

Cruise servers now are just a bunch of dumb stoners sitting around talking about weed, and crashing into walls. Meanwhile, people that actually try to hotlap or whatever end up getting wrecked by barriers or dumb stoners, and fined because of the stupid insim, and the admins won't refund anyone because of some stupid technicalities.

Want to speed? Automatically lose money. Drive the wrong way? Automatically lose money. Cops don't chase you now; they kick you. The fun has gone. It's one big dumb chatroom.

I always use my clutch and H shifter. It doesn't feel right at all if I don't use it. I've gotten so used to it, that it's like second nature. And even though other methods may be better, it's more fun this way. I also make the game think my wheel only turns 720, so that the road cars turn the full 900, so I have to turn the wheel more. It's more fun :P

Buy S2. CTRA servers are the best racing I've ever had.
Which setup of track length vs. laps do you prefer?
dude56
S2 licensed
Like, do you prefer a long track with few laps, or a short track with many laps? I like doing a short track with many laps better because there are less places to screw up.

Absolutely. Classic cars are brilliant.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I think a lot of it has to do with sounds.

Quote from tristancliffe :Ugly car. Not even that good a drawing of an ugly car. Proportions wrong in a lot of places, as is perspective (unless the car isn't meant to be vaguely symmetrical.

For LFS - nah, we want proper cars, that might be considered for 30 seconds in reality
For reality - nah, it's just rubbish.

Nice try though - keep the ideas coming!

Are you talking about mine or his?

New Car Design - RSL400

I've been contemplating designing a new car for LFS and finally did it. This is the RSL400, a fictional mid-size 4-door luxury sedan with a 4.0 liter V8 and 320 horsepower. Weighs 3700 lbs and 0-60 would probably be around 6 seconds with a 6-speed. Sorry for the horrible quality, my camera sucks.

The newest generation of BMWs, with the exception of the 3 series. Man, the 6 series is just gross.

Oh man, where do I start on this piece of crap.

First things first, the game hardly even WORKS. When I first bought it, it was unplayable because the graphics were totally glitched and screwed up. After the year it took them to fix THAT (which happens to ALL nvidia card users, good job testing, morons) the game is still broken. As soon as I go within 2 miles of another human player, the game basically freezes. And I can't even force quit.

Oh, and the physics are terrible. Nothing at all like a real car, it's just dumb. And I get constant framerate stuttering. Oh, and the publisher is so hard-working, they released 30 downloadable cars for the 360 version, and only 2 for the PC version. Because converting them is just SOO hard. Sure, it has pretty graphics. But if you want decent FPS, you need a $3000 computer (or you can turn all the settings to minimum, so the game looks terrible)

I wish I had bought it more recently, so I could get a refund for this crap, but I bought it in March, so it's too late now.

Advice: NEVER buy a game from Atari. NEVER. Every single game Atari has ever published is riddled with bugs to the point that it's unplayable, without exception.

Yes, although I might model an optional convertible top.
