I'll say how I see it.
You cant expect to be good/fast at your very first attempt(or even stay on track), same in real life, you cant just become a racing driver in no time. (especially, if you dont know the theory behind it all) Same with LFS, you have to practice, to stay on track, I mean the car is neutral, not like in nfs/grid.. Everything matters, the tyre temperatures, the setup of the car, the timing of your throttle/brakes/steering, the xfg/xrg aint so easy to go fast in, because they are not built like racing cars, but they can go fast, you just have to get the feel/timing down ... I'll just say, its not as easy as you think, to drive nicely... oh... go-karts are totally different than cars.. everyone can drive a go-kart
Oh, and you probably are using full throttle/full brakes/fast steering in LFS if your skidding at those speeds, racing is about being as smooth as you can near the limit
