All they need to do to devils elbow is get rid of the bumps! yes it has a nasty drop-off but the insane bumps do not help it out one bit.
Air fence great idea, more of it around the circuit would help out loads, espically at the new silly "hotspots"
Its funny how i used to hate mallory due to the lack of corners around the rear of the circuit, Its even worse now with te new layout, i was there at the start of the season this year at a clubmans day, it was amazing how many missed there turning point at the second chicane and just went through the old section of track before the esses, a disaster waiting to happen.
P.s thx for changing the title, i must not of been using my brain that day.
I used to have an old D reg orion with a full cosworth style bodykit on it with a stupidly large rear spoiler...yea it was the mutts nuts (when i was 18), we used to cruise around the centre of nottingham till the early hours checking out the ladies, while racing people off the lights..... I look back 10 years, what the hell was i thinking?...it was dam ugly and the body kit cost me 3 times as much as the car!!
The car basically fell to bits (typical D reg ford rot box)and went to the scrappy
I like the idea of multi class on server 2, Its just a shame im moving house at the min and my wheel has already gone to the new house. not to worry tho i move in on saturday morning and my new connection is being connected saturday afternoon! (aint my missus a diamond sorting it out so quicky for me). So i shall pop in saturday evening.
Im not sure but he did have problems setting up Raid on his raptor drives, seems if he paid a little extra he could of ran raid with the drives in the case, as it is now they HAVE to be ran externally, £10 more and it could of all been done internally with the deluxe version, now he has to use these L shaped sata leads and run the power wires outside his case.. strange i must say.
Excelent it seems my system may cope OK for a while, and yes its a dam shame my gainward is an AGP varient as its a pretty good card, thats why if i need to upgrade my PC its really a total overhaul, mobo,GFX and possibly ram,So i get an uptodate PCI system,
It looks like the system will wait and the monitors come first as they will be cheaper than building a new system ( hopefully a C2D and a pretty high spec DX10 card, The bonus is longer i wait for the system the better stuff i can get for lots cheaper than what the bits cost now,
This is my problem.... im not a fast hotlapper, never have been never will be but i can get a decent midpack finish with my consistancy, unfortunatly this is probrably why i dont score much,
Ive finished in races in 6 place and not recived points but the next race the racer who finished in 6th got points due to there faster "hotlap" in the race, It feels like the points were stole from me because i was trying to be consistant to finish the race and not bin it trying for that illlusive fast lap.
Thx for that jakg, 2 aa and af i could probrably just cope with, anything less would just be criminal!
I guess ill just have to suck it and see, if the fps is way to bad ill just have to upgrade me PC aswell, (tho my missus would not be best pleased, nor my bank manager)
I just hope i dont get it and it kills my PC, as the upgrade in hardware will have to wait 4 months at least,
Hi,
Im thinking of getting a triple head go unit and a couple of new monitors to run on my system, but before i go and make the purchase i would like to know if my current system would cope running 3 monitors,
AMD 4000+ 64 single core
1GB of pc 3200 ram
Gainward 7800GS 512mb golden sample AGP
I dont suppose u need more info than that, currently i get 95+ fps on low load down to 40fps at the back of the grid aa and af set to the highest settings in CP,
What sort of FPS loss should i expect? id like to keep my aa and af at full as it looks sooo sublime,
What made me giggle is spiker do not have the glitzy weather predicting computers like the bigger teams but they work with a student who predicted the rainfall! man always wins over machine!
I tend to look at the CTRA servers each diffrently,
The classic CTRA servers are just as they were before, There are some good points to be made there if you get a decent finish whatever your licence, Then on that group of servers we have been lucky to get the GTR/GT2 server, I tend to think this is the best CTRA server currently as the racing is very close with such a varied grid, Its nice getting beaten in race by 5-6 cars but then you find out you were second in GT2! quality! again another good stash of shiny gold things,
bump n jump, Well i find this server as a great "let your hair down" server, race clean and no need to push for top places unless your looking at a podium spot, finishing on the lead lap is good for many points so why bother trying to pass that car infront of you in the final corner on the final lap, just sit back relax and take another good stash of the gold,
S-S server,
This is where the real racers cut it, the cream of the crop. To progress your licence here you will need patience and lots of practice, Rome wasnt built in a day and neither will you be a BF1 driver by the end of the week, personally i love it like this, could you imagine the fo8 or the bf1 server full up with bad drivers? Its hard enough getting em around T1 in fox's
personally i havnt scored in the S-S server as of yet....but ive been dam close with 6-7th finishes a plenty. lets hope once a few of the fast guys rank up (you know who u are) and move on to the higher tier servers us slower hotlappers will get a better chance,
All i say is bring on the challenge!
P.S GREAT job UKCT!
EDIT:- BTW im a stats junkie and i love to see points going up, It sorta gives me something to race for.. you may not understand but its the same for other games i play like BF2/2142 in those games i wont play in unranked servers as im not getting me points.. some people love stat hunting. i feel the point system is a little strict in the S-S server but live with it, that is what makes it diffrent from the other servers.
