And for me i have to say, at the beginning of LFS i also thought the cars have too little grip, but i think its the sense of speed thats lacking. (70-75°FOV on 17")
Now i can drive pretty well without feeling "wtf?! no gripzr!".

You will not have any problems, i guess. Me has worse specs and i run on 2x AA 8x AF with smooth frames on a racing grid with ~25 cars.
Did you try the demo for LFS?

You have to rename all skin files from e.g. XR GT Turbo to XRT_dududu (the shortcut names)
There was a programm here on the forums which does it, use search.

I also like rallydriving, but it just won't fit in the way which LFS goes.
Also you should get richard burns rally, if you dont have already.

Afaik, drifting has originally been invented to increase laptimes (or to be faster than others during a race)
And since the T1 at BL has camber, its not even a bad idea for hotlapping.

In LFS you have problems on the Conedodgers 1 (AS National) straight to keep going without being crashed

You know, 4 kph are not much. I am on 214 at the straight and i am competative. To increase top speed, increase tire pressure.
