No, it are just false heuristics .. Nothing to do with 'reports'..
Most people are over-secured. Most threats are coming from undetected/new viruses so it's all pretty pointless these detection programs. But hey, it's installed, so; "feeling safe".
Anyway the heuristics are about detecting file changes.. And this is what this patch is doing. From an undefined source.
Couple of years ago LFS got terrorized by some UK and Norway idiots so this is not really a solution. In this internet age of time it is not possible anymore to have a simple server online without any protection. Yes, for some personal website nobody cares about but a popular public server sadly cannot go without.
But it's good that now action is being taken, before a major release.
Good that this happens now and not after the new and security improved patch release (which probably will make another container of idiots unhappy).
Being less vulnerable for terrorist attacks is always good.

I noticed earlier, that I was still one of the few to contact this forum. I think it's because I am on ipv6 .. Would be nice if the LFS simulator would support ipv6 in the future as DDOSsing is far more difficult (not many bots on a botnet, on ipv6).
Hmm oh.. But I like more variations of font colors too. Maybe we can sneak it in during the beta release patch sequence / episode. We will see, when it's time.
VR is still quite nieche, small breadcrumbs use this technology. Racing wheels on the other hand.. This force feedback system of LFS needs an update desperately (I think it coincides with this physics update).
But, nice that you sneak in some news in this topic.
Who cares about graphs and font colors.. Its #FreeScirroco movement what counts. All sounding good though, might take more then 9 months but getting used to it don't we?
Kind of you that you would like to personally assist but I like a more open discussion about this because I believe many people are dealing with these kind of issues.
Besides.. I have a feeling that I understand what you are talking about.. The Nvidia Inspector driver settings certainly affect LFS! Thanks for this tip.. So you suggest these kind of settings?
(I used the base profile for changes, I noticed Live for Speed has its own entry though).

Any idea why the 200/150/100/50 overhead signs are still flickering in the distance with these settings?
This... Moire... (is it the right word?) concerning armco does annoy me quite a lot and it didn't got away with the introduction of hi-res tracks like Blackwood. In fact, it looks like it gets worse. Do you see any chance to get that properly fixed with some different routine? My settings are already maxxed out (8xAA 16x filter) on my 965M.

To add to this, if I set post processing to yes @LFS the color vibrance improves massively. But the moire gets even worse.. => https://i.imgur.com/K595EN0.jpg
Then you say hmm you probably have the wrong video driver settings. But.. https://i.imgur.com/O9s5TOP.jpg .. To me it seems not.. (sorry, for some retarded reason it is in Dutch).
Wouldn't count on it.. The issue is that it would break Windows XP support and although..
XP is pretty much RIP since 2014 I guess LFS still needs to support it because... *Reasons unknown* ... Besides this, I think a different encoding suite is needed.
And then you have another problem with people which run a more recent OS version but they have a graphics card which doesnt support >DX9 .. The DX9 library is nowhere near exploited anyway
I don't want to start to get mean but at your age (profile says 17) I already was two years working besides school and *cough* school homework. Is it still that bad in the USA? #MAGA
The overall community is this dead that it's not easy to spot this shared ownership anymore. But in the past it where all these communities within the community which made LFS shine. Not LFS itself.
There are too many discussions about this development thing by the way. Yearly cycle keeps continuing, more talk about development then actual development (which can be noticed). But when you start to spot this, it gets funny instead of frustrating.
This is not how communities work. Or society in general.
Well what? This shows proper engine management to you? Youtube is full of videos like this of stupid people blowing up their engine, this engine was probably getting scrapped anyway.
Like I said before, you can create fire out of an exhaust but it's a waste.
