Hmm I doubt he is running LFS with a Geforce 2 card because that card only supports up to DX7 and he is online at [LCS] Cruise Server (=0.6R which needs DX9.0c minimum). I think he was trying to say Geforce 2XX card.
Either way, insufficient information to give proper advice.
No idea, it can also be a general signal reception problem, my keyboard still works when I am two rooms away in the house on the toilet. Just tested this, lol. (not really functional bcz can't see the screen but hey)... What about your situation?
I am reading something about WiFi distorting the keyboard wireless signal, so did you by any chance changed the way you make connection to the internet as well? It gets worse when WiFi traffic increases, if you go online with LFS on a busy server (like [TC]) there is quite a lot of WiFi traffic.
Westhill was primarily a boost for the cruising community and the (big) illegal community. What Scavier wanted to see for racing (full track usage) didn't happen. Yet. Which from a community perspective is logical, there need to be brought more to the table then just some tracks to keep things interesting.
Teasers are a bad idea, community innovation sort of stopped already, this will not return with some teasers as teasers can be pulled just as easily. Remember some Scirocco teaser, Rockingham teaser / track display at the track, tire physics teasers and some unknown never released car teaser? Teasers are pointless on this point in time, real stuff is what counts.
Besides, teasers generate a ton of weekly/monthly "are we there yet?" emotions. Again. Followed by negative emotion because some people run out of patience earlier then others which leads to negativity.
Track updates are pointless if the core doesn't change. (Physics in this case). The release of Westhill 2.0, Blackwood 4.0 (?) and Rockingham showed that.
Track updates, graphical improvements, new physics, probably improved online security. Sounds like a plan. Just sit back and relax for at least another half year. On the big picture this waiting time doesn't matter much anymore anyway.
Ye, well on some days the sun is shining outside. You obviously never been outside if you think otherwise.
I mean... You bring up arguments which has nothing to do with the conversation. It was about "finely tuned engines", it's funny to go sidetracked with obviously photoshopped images and what not but it's missing the point. I stick with posting #2 in this topic and over and out.
unburned fuel is a waste of energy so it can not be a "finely tuned" race car ever. You don't see fire out of an exhaust of a F1 car do you? It's because it's a waste of energy.
Finding the right fuel mixture in every situation of the power band is a very precise task. It's called fuel mapping. If you manage to have the correct fuel map for the entire rpm band then you get the most out of the engine. And.. Hench.. It's then tuned to the finest. I say it again; fuel in an exhaust is a waste and an indication something is wrong with the fuel map.
it's being caused by an engine which doesn't completely burn fuel, in other words, an inefficient or badly tuned engine. Low chances this is going to be created. Although fuel / air mixture settings would be a big step forward into racing setups. But maybe a bit too much detail for a simulator like this.
But eehh.. These tracks you are talking about, are not open world.
Same as for Rockingham, quite sure Rockingham needed to be re-modeled at least once, maybe more times. First it was low resolution and not open world alike. I assume it's a bit more work to do a fully open map/world. We can only guess at this point what this 'graphical update' is about, no other choice then to wait and see, it's been a full year without any major patch updates. That is a very long time in the digital world and maybe doesn't have the desired effect when it is released.. But hey.. It's their hobby... Project.. Or work. It maybe is work but I do not believe it's a weekly 40 hour job. By the looks of it, it is more a stop and run approach. But book writers have this way of working too.
