I was a little worried that it was a gremlin in my PC, at least you have been able to reproduce it.
So I can choose which car I want the replay data to be "accurate" for. How is this car selected? With LFSR connected to LFS the active LFSR camera is the viewport you see in LFS and as such I cant "focus" on a particular car. Or do you mean that with the replay cued up I set the active camera looking at the car i want to be the center of the "replay world" then import the replay data from LFS?
I would be interested in trying a patched version, but if there are other things that your time would be better spent doing then I dont want to keep you from them
I thought it maybe lag in the mpr, but when watching it in LFS there isnt sign of any lag.
I can upload the LFSR project, mpr and extracted data for this video if you'd like and PM you a download link.
Unfortunately i havent yet got round to saving an mpr of an open config as i have been practicing with MPRs i already had.
I used some WR SPR's from LFSW for testing aswell, with the beta patches the possition data wasnt in sync with the replay. with z28 it tracks the car properly.
I've been having a play with varying results. There are a few issues I've encountered.
When extracting replay data from a large MPR, the possition data from teh cars is very choppy and trying to do incar views or wheel cams doesnt come out well at all.
Is there anyway to smooth the data or is it a limitation of the mpr.
SPRs work really well but the fancy footage I want is from an online race.
The other issue i have had is when trying to use lfs record with the beta patches. when using replay data the position data overtakes the replay this happens with both MPRs and SPRs. I have reverted back to z28 but this means i cant use open configs
Touch screens are usually a standard LCD with a touchscreen membrane stuck over the screen. the touchscreen membranes are usually connected via serial (USB these days) and emulate a mouse. So it's perfectly logical for it to connect to the same device (actually 2 devices) using the 2 connectors. Hope that clears it up.
Oh forgot to mention, isn't OS X actually a linux distro? I'm pretty sure that the underlying software in the I wanks, sorry ipads is probably linux based aswell. I'm sure that there are or will be plenty of sites popping up with hacks etc to encourage use of the Pi
The guys a legend in my eyes.
Elite was (and probably still is) the greatest game ever.
Looks like I'll be gettting some of these and Wireless keyboards to hang off the back of some TV's for browsing on sofa/bed.
I got one of the Pedal adaptors a few months ago.
I emailed Leo to get some more information, it was a while before he responded as I assume that he is busy and gets lots of emails and support requests from the driving and flying sim communities.
If I recall the response once ordered online was a lot faster and the adaptor was soon delivered.
You could probably make yourself one if you are familiar with electronics, but I dont think the solution would be as elegant and simple to use as the one Leo sells.
Sorry Victor,
I meant will the Z30 patch once it is finalised (and no longer a test patch) work ok with LFSRec v2.0.8 or will LFSRec require and update too?
You have answered that though as the libraries are being updated. In the interim, we can't use the Z30 test patch. I guess that I can roll back to Z28 as I'm not to bothered about open configs at the moment.
Thanks for a fantastic tool, I'm sure once I have used it properly I shall be meithering you some more
Tried to have a play on my laptop and had a crash, forgot to record the message though.
So I had another go on my desktop gaming machine and got an InSim version error when trying to connect to LFS Z30 test patch.
I assume this is to be expected with the test patch. Will the full release patch work ok, or will that require a new LFS record version?
What does it matter if they can tell where you have been?
So what, I have nothing to hide. If anyone wants to know where I have been they just have to ask.
Mobile phone companies already know where you are whenever your phone is switched on, so it's hardly an issue that the iphone saves where you have been.
If they could predict in advance where i was going to be at any given time, now that may be worth concern .
I recently had to update my team skins for all the cars, had there been the option to upload them all "en masse" it would have made the process a lot quicker.
