With the Formula BMW FB02 car on Blackwood with major damage to the clutch I pitted with the damage display (F10) showing the clutch damage. When the pitting process started the damage display went away. After the pit was done, F10's and F9's display would not display again. F11 and F12 worked fine and the car would not move.
I haven't seen the menu pictures for some odd reason. I was looking for them after the update, but the menu looks the same for me. Where am I not looking?
True, just trying to let you know. The word "skys" could be easily removed in the first post in this thread though. . I installed the skies separately.
Yes, I like to check out the stickies and to search before posting on any forum. Rare, I know, but I know how annoying it can get for duplicate or useless threads to be posted.
I was about to post a thread about adding the Surround Sound feature in LFS, but it is mentioned here already. I would like to "vote" for it. It is nice to hear what is going on behind me. I have to fake the surround sound with the CMSS 2 feature in Sound Blaster Audigy 2. This feature up-mixes stereo to the rear left and right speakers. I also have to turn on "Matrix" mode on my front center in order to hear the engine in a more realistic position.
Funny I was just thinking the same thing. I want to move the mirror up higher then what is allowed in vS2 X so that I can see behind me without distracting my view up ahead. Any way to "hack" the files without getting banned in online races?
In addition, is there an extra button to look right a bit to look at the rear-view mirror? I know there is a look left and a look right function, but I want to be able to see the mirror and not just a small piece of it. I know I can use the virtual mirror, but I like realism of the real one.
Can anyone confirm that the G25 works on a PS2? I saw it listed on Logitech's web site as both a PC and PS2 accessory. That would be nice so that I can use it in racing games on the PS2, such as the Gran Turismo series and the Burnout series. I have an Alienware Gaming Pad that works on the PS2 and PC and it is very convenient since I have the PS2 and PC hooked up to the same PC monitor (with a RTV VEG-N unit) and I switch between the two platforms often.
I have the older Act Pedals and Shifter and they still work after about 3 years I think. The only problem I have is that the pedals seem to be very finicky about calibration. They work well without any calibration and setting up calibration messes up the values. The potentiometers seem to give very "jumpy" values. That is why I wanted to invest in the G25 but from what I am reading here on this thread, things are looking so good for the G25. I still want to try it though.
My Logitech MOMO Racing is perfect in terms of the potentiometer. Never needs calibration and it is still 100% accurate after about 3 years. Very important for me.
Are the pedals in the G25 accurate? How bad is the G25 shifter?
If the design had more to it, I might get some. I love Live For Speed, but I feel more like a walking billboard, especially with the long sleeves version. That web site address is huge! I might as well get paid for wearing that shirt.
I know that I walk around with logos all the time, like clothing lines, but the web site address needs to be smaller for the long sleeves version or moved. If people come up to me and ask, I can tell them the address. I promote this game to my friends often since most of them have not heard of it yet.
I am comparing the designs to the ones featured on http://www.gtr-shop.com/. Those look cool in my opinion.
In the replay, I floored it and dumped the clutch and the wheels spin out when I watch in the replay. I guess I only noticed it. No one else seems to have the problem.
Geesh, people on this forum and very adamant with their opinions about a silly game. Games are supposed to be fun folks. Age could be a factor...
I entered a drifting contest and placed in the top ten long time ago. Since my skills were targetedI had to type that. I hate to brag. I can drift with the available lock, but it'll allow a sharper angle of drifting. I can also do it in slingshot race cars on a slick track.
You can't drift a FWD properly so adding a FWD comment is not to the point and anybody saying that you can, then I think you might have n00b tendecies.
I know it's not a drifting sim, but it's supposed to be a car simulator and real cars drift.
I just played 0.1W version and 45 degrees was the maximum that could be selected.
At least for the road cars, I'd be happy.
Here real car with 60 degrees of lock! Aha! In response to "Higher max steering lock would be unrealistic ".
"And to achieve greater steering angles we had to change the steering-arm on the knuckle, which now enabled us to earn another 10-12 degrees of steering. The car has substantial amounts to start with, it's 45-degrees I believe; now it's close to 60-degrees steering lock, which I believe is more than acceptable as a first outing for the GTO."
Back in Version 0.1 I remember being able to set the steeering lock to 60 degrees I think. This was when drifters were storming the servers. I just checked now and it saw only 1 drifing server.
To fit my drifting style I need the steering lock to be able to be set further.I am trying to get back into it. Especially with the racing versions of the car only getting 25 degrees maximum. I heard on ESPN I think that drifters have a clutch pack LSD, rear wheel drive car, softer suspension in back and a aftermarket kit to be able to set the steering angle to a wider angle.
I have a 5.1 setup and I like how Richard Burns' Rally has surround sound along with some other racing games. It's cool to hear the screeching rear tires in the rear speakers. It's a good cue to how much traction a player has. It is also nice to hear other cars around you.
For Live for Speed I have to enable CMSS 3D in the EAX console to hear all around me, but that it upmixed and not relative to the position of the sounds in the game.
Will Live for Speed have this feature eventually? I didn't see this in the Suggestions Log Sticky Thread.
