either i'm blind or this option is hidden very well, but i can't find anything that matches this perhaps anybody with an ATI card can describe the menu-path to this option ?
i tried too, but i can't find the option to enable the screen mode with extended taskbar i have an ATI 1950Pro and obviously there are no such options in the driver to "extend" in that kind, that i can choose a resolution of 2580x960 for only 1 enabled monitor ?? can anybody help with this problem ? because of that i can only enable a resolution tripples my windows single monitor resolution in LFS options. as a result LFS crashes if it comes to the game mode in fullscreen.
it's funny, that mostly the request for modding or creating own cars comes from demo racers, who not seen all the content, but wanna do it by yourself. that's crazy
just some thoughts for the xml-output:
why don't you use attributes for xml-tags? in my eyes u can shorten the output by reorganize the xml-scheme, like
mhh ... i red myself and it really seems not to exist a package for this type of information, but in normal replays (and multiplayer games) you can see the tyre temps from other cars, so the info is provided in some other way ?
really, really great work
works perfect for me!!!!!!! without any error !!!
just one question: i have a mpr and if i watch it with the tool connected i only got the position of the "in car" (the one i watch in replay), but there are no other cars in the track view ?
one question: do u use a local outgage connection to lfs (i think only with that u can get information about fuel and so on) ? in the moment it is neccessary that the tool runs on the same machine, or am i wrong ? do u plan the possibility to connect to your tool from another destination, so some other guy gets the same infos from your local lfs like yourself ???
very very great tool
some questions: could there be an bug in counting the position ? or is the position wrong if you switch the car and see this car driving over the start-line so the pitboard appears ? (all positions in the board were ones less the ones showed in normal huds ???)
i think you are right if you say: if more info is needed use SHIFT+F, but could it be possible to make an option (in the config-file or so) to enable the pitboard in the splits too ? some tracks are really long and a lot of stuff happens during one lap, so it would be great if you can use this pitboard for the split.
did u use a InSim-library, or did u do the protocoll implementation by yourself? if yes, which one u used ?
it seemed that it doesn't work if for "creating a game" a multiplayer-password is set. if i had set one, i got the error message: "Insim : password does not match your multiplayer admin password" and LFSpitboard were closed. i deleted the password in the multiplayer server config and then anything works fine. so perhaps u need the possibility to adjust the password used by LFSpitboard with a config-file or starting-argument ?
but great program !!!
btw: is there a possibility to include refuel infos to the board, something like "number of laps u can drive with current fuel" ?
so stupid from me but with hosting it in another way (sourceforge gives u a lot of communication tools ), some choosen people can directly edit the source, so the work does not need to be done by one man
did you have ever thought about making this project opensource ? i think this could be a good sourceforge project, so there will be a lot of interested people, who holds the spec within the lap up-to-date with the current lfs insim protocol.
yeah, we should do so, but i think we should use this thread to do the basic stuff and some experiments, before we tell the devs, so for me technical help with lfs developing is my main need,
