Quote from Takumi_lfs :your knowledge of a pc is shite. Like The General Lee said. We know that you have a great pc with this and this and this.

You didnt even get a job or whatever to buy that system. Your parent's bought it.. (richy rich family) I'm everyday breaking sweat for my own new system, Just wait a month.Yes,It's gonna be Better than yours and I'm gonna OC it till I get 999 fps on lfs .

Anyway Harjun. I think that everyone knew that u were buying a new pc. (new thread here, new thread there) whoops my pc.. i got 2gb! 3,2Ghz!! 8800GTS!, It runs fluid!11!.

WE DONT GIVE ANY **** ABOUT YOUR PC (srry for that but I had to say it)

Harjun.. no word's but your definetly the biggest spammer in lfsforum.

breaking sweat my ass, if you were bloody breaking sweat you wouldn't be here on LFS forums, ever heard of getting money for birthdays? ever heard of, saving up?

P5K-£70
E2180-£50
8800GT-£200
HDD-£50

How did you manage that, with extra stuff like 2Gb of RAM-£50 etc.?

Quote from tristancliffe :I'd look in the classified ads on various kart websites (karting.co.uk has one I think), perhaps on Ebay, and perhaps by going to your nearest kart track during a race meeting and seeing what people have on sale, and generally ask questions. Someone, somewhere, will have a kart and engine for sale they want to get rid of...

I'll put a pic of you karting as my avatar if you manage it

Thank you very much Tristan for your nice comments . I really do support you, you know why? because you really reming me of my brother (23yrs old), he's just naturally really funny like the comments you make, and used to race in single seaters, but now does drifting.

I know i will manage it, my dad has "words" with my uncle about buying me and my uncles son a kart to race . I know that you can't get competitive with a £400 kart, the Junior Max which i have bought last year was around £800-£1000 ...but thats gone now , and the only thing i could sell of it was a brake disc, 2 pairs of slicks, and the wheel i kept....

@the_genral fnoewjfoiwj...is it if you put someone on your ignore list they can't post in your threads?! i wonder what happened after the countless times i've been, "close to being on yoru list" lol....nub

if you are talking £££, mine cost around £600, and runs all games fast enough than my eyes can see...if $$$, then i'm not really sure about that, that is around, £300 isn't it, so you could probably buy a 7600GTS, an E2180, 2gb RAM, 80Gb 16mb 7.2K RPM HDD for around that much which will on single player happily run LFS on high detail at around 150fps

Quote from rainspecialist :chill guys!!

anyways i just got my wheel a madcatz wheel and im installing it now and also im not gonna overclock it because its locked and i cannot access the front bus so whatever

and also my dad wont buy me a computer because he thinks its pointless of me spending money on a new computer 1,200 when the one i have works fine (not for games or at least new ones) he says as long as internet and word proccesor are fine so is the computer

hmmmm maybe i should download a virus instead? lol search viruses on google!!

it is the front side bus, otherwise known as the FSB, your CPU will have a limit of the FSB, thus having a Multiplyer, like mine is set to 320X10, i found a comfortable stable FSB is 320, so i wanted 3.2Ghz, multiplying 320X10 giving 3200Mhz/3.2Ghz....there is a progamme called Clockgen where you can change all of that etc. but you use it within windows, but there is no point overclocking on a ready built computer, theres like, a restriction on everything. GOod luck of finding a "virus" on google.

Quote from Bladerunner :So did your more 'serious' posts.

And if I was your Dad, I would certainly NOT let you NEAR the inside of a new (ish?) Ford Galaxy with a greasy, oily go-kart!

He lays down an opened up cardboard box and has one in the back of all the cars boots, and obviously there will be one in the back....duh.

Quote from Bladerunner :Not forgetting a trailer, a car to pull the trailer, spare parts for when they break/fall off/ get crash damaged, time for your Dad to take you to tracks, entry fees, insurance, fuel, back-up....

Come on, be serious, if anybody could race on a budget of £400 we would ALL be doing it!!!

my dad has a ford Galaxy, will EASILY fit in that as i've said i only need an engine on a chassis, for £400

Quote from Stang70Fastback :Godammit Harjun I'm not trying to ruin this thread I was offering FAIR advice. You didn't say that YOUR computer ran at 300 fps, but you did suggest he get an 8800GTS (which is the card you have) so that he could get 300 FPS out of it. I KNOW it's not going to run at 300 FPS with that card, I'm just quoting you to make a point. If you want to be technical:

That is how fast yours actually runs. The point is, you shouldn't run at anything higher than 60-80 just because you can. It puts unnecessary strain on the components. The point of my post was not that you get 300 FPS, it was that WHATEVER you are running at, you should limit it.

I'm not trying to be an ass - I'm passing on fair knowledge so that you may use it for your benefit.

that was with a 5 year old driver or something, with these new U.S.A drivers, they run like, 20fps better than the U.K ones, dam i had a hell of a lot more fps with those new drivers

but, can you just explain to me....this has a 100CC Rotax engine, another Kart for £2000 has the same engine, fair enough, thats like, immaculate, and has stickers and everything, and this is just a little red thing....but i can easily just buy new covers, my dad will probably spend a lot more on tyres etc.....its just a Kart i need, a fire proof suit i have from last year, which prooved handy, my helmet is too small, and my shoes are too small, but still, that extra what, £100 on tyres, plastic cover, stickers, brakes, nicer chair etc.....i will have, just need a £400 engine on a chassis

Quote from Stang70Fastback :Harjun, by the way, just because your computer can run at 300 FPS doesn't mean it should. I'm NOT trying to just be argumentative here, or anything, but I'm just suggesting that if you haven't done so already you might want to limit it to 60 or 80 FPS.
Otherwise its like driving your Ferrari around with the engine hitting the rev limiter. You CAN rev that high, but it's bad practice to strain the engine for that long a period of time if it's unnecessary. It can lead to problems down the road.

please tell me where i have said that my computer runs at 300fps in my previous post , maybe your in a good mood to ruin this thread because i posted in it....

Hello people, just before i start, say anything you want if it makes you feel happy

I would really like to start karting again, after having a nasty accident in one of those last year, my dad has said, go-for-it.

I have around £200, and my dad probably has around....£200 , that leaves me around £400-£500....

Most of you would know that i live in U.K (England), so ordering of the internet would be preferable, unless there is a good shop somewhere in Hertfordshire, i will also be going with my 5 year old cousin who willl be getting a kart too (but forget him for now )

I am 13, turning 14 in May, so i was wondering if i should buy a chassis (adult? i am quite big ) and then like, a Rotax engine, my brother has said that i wouldn't be able to drive Rotax, only Junior Max, but that has a Rotax engine right?.

If someone could kindly point me into the direction of some cheap 2nd hand kart, i've seen a nice 100CC Rotax on EBAY £250 buy it now, just needs enging bolting on chassis, and it's done ...

Thank you very much.
Harjun.

obviously you would rather have a Quad core Core 2 Intel, than a "crappY" AMD ...also, might want to think of upgrading the graphics card to something like an 8800GTS, then you should get around...300fps on full quality single player, and around 150-200 on full grid

GOod luck!
