Oh come on, none of those can control the sound unless ur using ASIO or something like that. And to sum it up, if you use ASIO, u probably know where to find the fix anyway.
Well, dont know whats up with Win7 (Also WinVista) - ive had alot of problems getting 3.5mm mics workin on them. Audio output seems to work fine, but input is very messed up. Back in the day in WinXP u just plugged the mic in and u were ready to roll. Try plugging the mic into another port and if ur driver software tells that its plugged in, go inthere and re-set that port to work as mic input. U can do that with many onboard cards (including my Realtek). So in theory i could connect 7 mics to my soundcard.
As Logitek sayd, check your drivers. If you have a PC that was pre-made then look up on the manufactuer site, if not. Look at the motherboard (incase ur on integrated audio) and google for the motherboard model name and u will find the drivers. U could also go with the CD's u most likely got with ur PC but id recommend to get newest ones from the interwebs.
Edit:
Realtek cards deliver enough quality, considering what ur currently running on that card (that sub, u know). My realtek 888 chip delivers 24bit 96kHz just fine (for the almighty FLAC's).
Oh well, in the other end i really would like to contribute in the beta and to see whats up with this piece of software. If there's a patch available then i might give a second try. What are your personal impressions, Racer X NZ?
I would say, move to estonia and work at finland. So u get a big paycheck and u buy cheap stuff over here. We in here, we got cheap prices and ofcourse - minimalistic paycheck.
Tryed running ntcardvt.exe manually - no help at all, even with different compability options. DirectX and NET are both up to date. Come babysit my PC later.
Edit: And no, i am not the only one. Not everyone can make it work trough ntcardvt.exe and ive seen a dozen of reports in theyr forums already that say theyr OS is messed up. It seemed to be likethat because those codecs overwrote my d3d files. This doesnt make any sense. :/
Lets just say that people who just want to try it out, DONT. This thing scared the shizzle out of me since every program turned out to be corrupted and well, i dont know. Had to run a bunch of recovery stuff to get things working again. I definately wont install this back on in the near future. Ill just wait when the beta is over.
And whats this thing VFM overwriting my damn d3d files? I saw it during the installation and windows recovery utility showed me that all those files were badly indexed and it fixed them etc.
Been in a bunch of betas and i gotta admit that i havnt seen anything this bad. Look at the bugs section in theyr forum. People are going crazy in there.
Normal rear tires with huge pressure and locked diff should do the job. If u cant drift then, ur pretty much failing at it. But there are setups, i got a decent XRG drift set too.
