yes, its easier to remember only 3 turns of a total track.
I think its becaus people like to go as fast as possible
without going off track. and thats just easier when
there are only 3 turns to remember - see kyoto ring!
long configs require therefore more laps and more time per race.
But you can have a really nice 5 minute race on fe1 or ky1.
I remember pulling a car with a dead battery to start it.
And it made pumping sounds due to compression etc.
So yes, you're right for this.
Its not completely quite, but the throttle didnt make it louder.
Why should it? Doesnt have a great influence on the air flow anyways.
Air regulators dont cause a vacuum in the engine. Its more of a stream
control that reduces the flow over the carburator needle. Not the amount
of air breathed by the car.
Added: Never drove a turbo - just talking about plain road car engines.
I wonder why ppl keep bashing about the simulated flex.
I mean, nobody complains about the handling of the cars.
And thats a function of the tyre flex!
The extreme flex has been shown on flat tyres in lfs.
Now is this so awkward? No - since its flat! G** D***!
:chairs:
When the tyre is under pressure it obviously behaves realistic.
Otherwise LFS wouldnt enjoy such a great popularity.
No, throttle either controles the amount of fuel vaporized in the carborator or the amount of fuel being injected. There are some sort of air mass regulators, but they dont cause noises like that. Sorry to say that.
And combustion does not take place, so there shouldnt be any kind of hard noise.
When i speed up and turn off the ignition, the combustion sound doesnt.
And when pushing the throttle the combustion sound gets louder -
even though the revs come down.
(i drove the FZR)
For doin it completely different and in real time the devs dont have to be ashamed of the sound engine.
Maybe a simple 3-band frequency equalizer in the sound options would already please about 90% of all gamers (*cough*) - drivers?

Reason : spelling again - gees
I always suspected that gravity ends at the road surface in LFS.
Can this be improved? I mean this happened at about 80kmh.
I did crash before at about 70kmh and no tire even left the ground
let alone rolling like this.
The funny thing is that coming down from a 3 meter jump is realistic again.
Might just be a force/energy calculation problem. A crash absorbs way more
of the vehicles energy. And cars arent elastic at all.
Or is this intentional for sensation?

Reason : Spelling - oh my g**
It might have been suggested before - but couldnt find it anywhere else.
It wouldnt be too hard to add flies and dirt on the windshield.
F1 drivers have multiple helmet visors they can pull off.
Touring cars have windshield wipers - which would be my next suggestion.
Why would i use a horn or flashing lights? Just to annoy others?
But i would use a wiper if my screen gets dirty...
Especially on rallye tracks this would add greately to the sensation.
Also, dirt doesnt form clouds like the sand or grass does now.
It drops faster (and usually leaves more on the following cars)
Mirrors do break/distort already.
I remember having a couple wall touches, that broke my mirrors.
Engine can be wrecked already - take the gti on oval and shift from
5th down to 1st gear on top speed and see what happens :-)
Fire only makes sense when the gas tank bursts.
But i like the idea of loosing cooling fluid or oil which will be similar to
the actual engine wrecking effect.
(power loss, stuttering engine and later failure)
Sound aint that bad right now. It could just use some equalizing...
Engine noise could use more low to mid frequencies. Its to dominant on the treble. (say more sports exhaust boom...)
Metal scraping sounds awkward and gravel and grass noise could use some
tuning to tyre speed. That would be perfect.
It might only need an on the fly frequency filter.
This is a good point. I didnt read the rules, but i expect the rules to say sth like:
Everybody uploading files must assure to have all rights on the work and that no other party has rights on the work.
Well for my files: i surely didnt invent any of these flags. Int. property prolly belongs to the country... but the skin files are free of any other rights.
Afaik flags can be used in proper content, like showing politicians on front pages of magazines. Am i wrong?
Who would stop a patriot from waving his country's flag?
Cant have one without the other - God save the Queen!
I also like the idea of the Canadian Flag as I think
that Maple Leaf would look really great on the hood or the roof
and white as the dominant color... yep, really neat idea!
Ok, this is prolly going to be a point of discussion.
Europeans wont like the overseas design,
over the oceaneans might argue its an inappropriate use.
But me thinks its just beautiful - yet waving!
