AtomAnt - when you say "I'm (we) are dissapointed with the turn out" do you mean the tune-up race? If so I didn't read about it until this morning. I thought it a little short notice personally. Is it not possible to 1) email out notifications instead of letting us check the lists ourselves? 2) give more notice?
With all the other lists, leagues and sites I (and I'm sure other) visit (and thats just LFS) as well as having a life outside in that big wide world, it is hard to continually check.
I've just tried to download the "decision" on the penalties page for the last race (SO5R). However the PDF file I'm looking at was for the previous race at Blackwood.
I want to say sorry to Spooky in our league, I caused him to spin in front of me.
Entering the right hander after the railway lines on the back of the course he was following. I took the next slow left then the immediate right wide, he jumped up the inside of me and we were then side by side into the next left just after the 'other' pits. I had the inside into that corner but I let it go. I can't remember if he touched the barrier but he moved left as if to defend the inside of the next left and so left a gap on the outside (between him and the armco). As I had more speed I popped up the outside of him expecting him to defend the inside line. He didn't and moved across my front pushing me into the armco and spinning his back end out.
I noticed from replays that we both had damaged suspension. I thought I'd loose more time by pitting so I decided to fight on and finished the race with four-fifths of my front left damaged and some wishbone (?) damage. I notice Spooky pitted and lap times deminished after that according to the stats.
Quite a lot of race series (real world) allow you to drop the worst 2 results from your score at the end of the season. That means for example if you don't finish twice in the season then you can drop them.
Another question, relating to the "pools". Do you stay in the pool you're in for the first race? Or are the pools drawn every race depending on your hotlap?
Well, I was disconnected two or three times - during qualifying and during organising the grids. I connected a couple of mins and managed to get away in the lead. I stayed in the lead for 3 or 4 laps at which point I promptly got dumped back to the connection screen So from 1st place to a DNF in an instant.
Its all down to a "congested exchange". BT are upgrading on Friday with a bit of luck.
You really ARE an angry angel aren't you?
I've found it to be a network (BT) issue;
Results for exchange: Whitehaven
Congestion status on this exchange is RED.
Your telephone line has been identified as being on a congested exchange. If you are receiving varying speeds between 400kbs - 2000kbs at different times of the day this is likely to be a result of the congestion issue.
A provisional date of Feb 16, 2007 has been set for upgrading this exchange.
I'm not offended, I think its sad you had to post that really.
Oh no - I've just checked and it is a network (BT) issue;

Guys, over the last maybe 3 days my LFS has had trouble connecting.
Symtoms are; VERY slow server update - like 1 per second. When I join a server chances are "Didn't receive track info" and other failures like that. I've just managed to join a server only for me to lag out 4 times - I gave up.
I'm not running anything in the background. I've also checked out BF2 online and it works fine and offline games are fine - it is ONLY with LFS.
Has anyone else seen his? It will be a problem for the first OLFSL race tomorrow!!!
Yeh thats what tripped me up (no pools). Finishing 4 laps down wasn't fun. My setup is lousy and I also didn't know that suspension could be damaged on that track without actually hitting anything . I'll see the first race in, I hope its nice and level.
