Yeah i'm sure the 3 devs that make this game can come up with a open world map in no time, just to please the 1% that play LFS as a drift and police chase simulator.. /s
There's always been something about LFS's graphics that make it look really simplistic, but at the same time also very realistic. Maybe it's vehicles looking a bit cartoony compared to the enviroments?
But it looks great nevertheless! Can't wait to test the circuits out.
I can see why people get upset about this, but when you google Free LFS S3 you probably get the same site.
Nothing new, people pirate stuff, like we all probably did before we bought our licenses.
It's not about how to get it or where to get it anyway, but more about do you have morals or not.
Remember the developers even put one of the bigger crackers in charge of licences, so forgive and forget i guess. Starting a witch hunt on the forums would be hypocrite at best.
And what would they acomplish by putting it on Steam?
Let's be realistic, nobody is going to buy LFS when they see the RB4, FZ50 or FXO GTR.
The graphics would leave a bad taste in their mouth even before they could get a feel of the physics.
But perhaps the upcoming graphics update will hide the cars sharp edges aswell?
Edit : And i'm quite sure that people who are in the market for sim racers already know what LFS is.
Having the exact same problem, has there been any fixes or known solutions?
Both PS3 and Xbone controllers like to steer either or to the right, or to the left just ever so slightly.
People haven't really noticed why Scawen and such weren't releasing news that frequently anymore.
And then they just continue doing that which pissed them off in the first place.
But I guess it's all "resolved" anyway, we get a updated layout with a new one trown in aswell.
Couldn't be better!
Can't you guys just be happy with the update we're getting?
It's been like 4/5 years to finally get some new, fresh content but yet people find reasons to nitpick about it.
Is it just for the sake of complaining or something?
Because then I can see why it's like talking to a brick wall and why the devs were so silent about their work.
Everything they say could be better, different or whatever.
It's awesome that Eric puts so much effort into this track,
and doing a mighty fine job aswell which I can really appreciate. And he doesn't even owe it to us.
Yet most here behave like self entitled little brats as cargame just explained to us, want this, want that, want this.
And keeping the old track would just give us a inconsistent mess a 'la GT5/6 anyway.
It's a update, something will be replaced/improved, and above all it's free.
So just be happy with what you get, and what you already have.
Mistake on my part then, thought that i read something about the retro versions of the LFS tracks.
From version 0.01 and such.
And Eric did say something about slight changes indeed, which is the reason why all the hotlaps on Westhill woulld be reset.
Also, who's stopping anyone from using older LFS versions anyway?
And it's not just the fact that people suddenly want the old circuits back.
It's that now we're getting something new, they still continu asking for more.
Except for all the people who suddenly want the older circuits back too.
Eventhough the people who are asking for it may not be seeing it that way.
It must be really frustrating to anounce something new as a developer, just to have people want the outdated stuff back. No?
