Sorry for the double post...but i was looking through my Bio's last night as my mum was having troubles with her computer, so we were checking defaults etc. I noticed an Option called Overclocking, i've read lots of posts about it but don't quite understand what it does or what it means. Is it safe to do and will i noticed anything different with my PC??

I had consulted lots of gamers that i know, and they said it would run LFS fine, and i've had no troubles at all so im not complaining.

Tho, when i put AA on 8x, it doesn't have the tick beside it, is it selecting it or what? Because the pics arn't entirely smooth at 1024x768

already bought it, and im stoked. It doesn't push over 1000, but its around 700mhz. This system runs excellent compared to what im used to, i only use 4x AA During game etc, just so the gameplay is slightly smooth and i get 40/50 FPS on a full grid with all GFX turned up in LFS. Im not going to complain, considering i got it for dirt cheap.

So after waiting for my computer to turn up which i bought a month ago, it never arrived, got my money back and sold a few things, which gave some more money to spend. So a mate did a list up for me on a system that should run LFS with ease, with full graphics etc but i wanted to see what you fella's reckon aswell!

Yeah, its a 512mb version. I like to do some racing on RR Servers and stuff but i used to have one car in front of me and it would lag bad XD

Am i gonna notice much difference in FPS? With my old system, i could not play on auto x tracks, would see a car in front of me and my FPS would drop immensely.

I have to agree, i joined LFS for drifting mostly, but we dont need another drift car. You can drift any RWD Car on there with the right setup, you could drift them all.

Kanzai says no to a drift car.

I havn't read through all the posts so bear with me if im completely off topic. I myself have been drifting since i downloaded S2. As for the comment a few pages back that Racing isnt as hard as drifting, i must say, you must not race at all. Car setup is more critical in racing then what it is drifting. I like to race everywhere once in a while, depending if i want to suffer from horrible FPS.

The new patch is great, im yet to burn a clutch without doing it for laughs with friends, i clutch kick alot more then usual and i dont usually see the bar raising much at all. I drift better then what i did back in patch X because of the realistic feel. The only thing I'm not impressed with, which is no means, much of LFS's fault is frame rate on the new updated tracks, which is understandable as i have a cheap system that wasn't built for gaming.

Great work to the dev's, they've done an excellent job!!

I had heard people talking about it on a few pixel art forums, didnt think anything of it so one day, searched, downloaded, played demo for a year until i could afford S2, popping up on 2 years in March.

That run a clutch and Shifter? A mate of mine wants a wheel setup but cant afford a G25 so i've been hunting around and have only found the thrustmaster, any ideas?

I've installed wine on my computer and i've been hanging out to play LFS again. Now, everytime i start up lfs i get "is LFS installed correctly on your hard drive?", How can i fix this? I've tried it on dekstop, home folder etc etc and nothing, any help?

I've been trying to get a server for ages now but have had no luck. With myself and the rest of the team, our routers wont forwards ports or we don't have the internet connection needed to host a server. With this, the team has no where to film a movie without someone else interrupting and so forth and we can't hold team styled meets on our own on a private server.

As for skill, as I say, I used to throw my car sideways (pretty sideways too) when I was 17 / 18 and hadn't long passed my test.. so wasn't very skilled at all.

"Drifting"'s just about being a poser.. nothing more, nothing less.

I know I'm only new but yeah yeah, i really think it isnt about being a "poser" or anything of such like that. Drifting takes alot of car control and grip racing is ALOT easier. I'm not another drift fanboy but i do enjoy watching it and doing it on LFS, this being, its a racing simulator, what about all the people that have "demo derby's" and so forth? I think atleast ONE orientated drift track would be nice!

Nothing against by the way bud, just thought id say that and your post was the one i could demonstrate off.
