Somehow a bit aggressive, but very clean. Maybe I'm a racer IRL so I maintain a clean racing as best as I can. However, my disadvantage is my driving still not stable enough.

It is indeed a good suggestion and should be implemented in the coming patches. Learning thru replays is one of my way to improve my driving.

I personally don't really understand the point of cheating thro.. it's such a nice racing-simulator. Why there are guys wanna cheat? Just wanna win the race and bully other racers?

Have you ever participate in some leagues? If you are competitive enough, you should have experienced alot of fun through racing. How to overtake people, how to defense people effectively.. for sure I'm referring to clean-racing. I don't mean that you're just hot-lapping through the whole race, but if you're good, there should be some fights between you and other great racers. Personally I enjoy that.

Quote from Sketchyrollin564 :Im too tired to do any of that, so ill wait till tommarow.

That also brings up another question, though:
What is the "Steering Lock", and whats the difference between "In game" and "profile"?

Steering Lock is the angle that your wheel can turn. If you can only turn 180, that means your steering lock for your DFP is 180. For me, I set it to 540 for all cars, and it runs pretty well for me.

In game means that the steering lock inside the LFS, you can set it different for different cars. Profile means the steering lock setup globally for the entire game.

Quote from Sketchyrollin564 :Alright, so im using the Logitec Driving Force Pro wheel. You know, the one for Gran turismo 4.

Anyways, for GT4, Enthusia, and even gay games like Need for Speed, and etc., it lets you use the 900 degree rotation.

So i realized, it connects to the PS2 through USB, so i decide to try it on LFS. Ive been using it for a week, but never decided to ask untill now. Whenever i play on LFS, it only gives me 180 degree rotation (90 degrees both ways.).

Is there a way i can change it to 900? or is it set like this for all 900 degree wheels, on LFS?

Mouse is good if you're using a good mouse...lol. Anyway, to mantain a consistant and stable lapping time and driving apexi, I can definitely say a wheel will help much better than a mouse generally.

I recently switch from a mouse to DFP, and I'm very happy about it. My lap time at first is not as fast as the mouse's. However, my lap time is constantly improving, and finally faster than when I was using the mouse. In addition, it's much more stable.

If you really like this game, buy a wheel. You will never regret, and that will definitely be one of your best investment.

They should have no life then...

Addicted , lol. Remind the feeling of real-racing when I was in my home country, miss that so much. Although it's still way to go to compare to reality, I really enjoy it, especially in a clean league race with 20 people racing

I've played US$60 for a DFP, and also $48 for the S2 license, that's it.
I'm playing it on my personal freelance-job 24" Imac, using bootcamp to run WinXP for it.

Actually you can't complain much, still it is the cheapest way to experience racing, thro it's still not real, but we've enjoyed it, right? Personally when I get back to my home country and kart-racing on a track, it already costs me over US$150 per racing day, not including the practicing and whatever.

There's an improvement suggestion thread at the sticky. Furthermore, you need not open two posts to emphasize this.

In addition, I'm not being rude, but the majority of LFS community is racer, but not drifter. If engines and cars are being considered to be added for the drifting community, more other engines and cars are on the list to be added before them.

For me this is a good post thro. First I'd like to clarify myself I don't have rFactor, and only played LFS for around a month. I'm still new to LFS, but not games, especially simulation games.

I'll just take this post as a review for both games, but not a discussion for me, coz I know nothing more than u guys. However, personally I think that the most attractive point from rFactor is their mods, and what people can drive a real car in a real track, of which you can never experience this in LFS (at least at this moment or coming few years).

I've played racing games for years, TOCA, NFS, GT series(PS/PS2), much more that I can't remember. In the first time, I am addicted to LFS, but my DFP right a way to enjoy this simulator( personally I dun really treat it as a game ). I'm a racer in real life, kart-racing, and also tried formula, etc. I love racing, and what LFS can give me is the feeling. Nothing is perfect, so do LFS and rFactor. There are still much more rooms for them to improve, maybe in a slow way, but we will wait and see, won't we? Just because we all here love racing. Right?

Cheers.
