lfs has one constant blue flag message. i think it needs to be something like when you get a blue flag message, pass 3 marshalls posts and black flag/ or travel so many metres with blue flag message.
if your car is so serverly damaged you shouldnt be able to move. this could be eaily sorted when we get a proper damage system. normally you hit a wall race is over. not in lfs more of a flying lesson and then carry on to the pits.
totally agree. specate to type. infact i think it deserves a new thread.
you just dont talk in a race when racing, constand shouting is un needed. but i think it needs to be made clear that a blue flag is only a move over flag in f1. everywhere else it is simply a notification to say a faster car is approaching.
it really is a personal prefernce at the end of the day. i play both lfs and rfactor and love them both. some people seem biased towards other games, which i find pointless. they arte both great games. i know the ff is not as good on rfactor but as a driver who has not had ff for a whole 2 years it really isnt a problem. but there is the case that lfs drivers hate rfactor, in the same way that rfactor drivers hate lfs.
i think the main issue is what game is played first. some ppl will either buy rfactor or lfs first, then play the other and expect it to feel like the other game. it doesnt (obviously) so they immeiatley ditch it and call it rubbish.
6 ppl online on rfactor.
rfactor comes alive in the evenings, especially on the weekend. during the day its usually leagues that are running they always get a full house, many people do go to work and school, i dont no why lfs racers dont . i find the problem generally with lfs its the same old servers with the same cars that are popular, there are never many variations, is any people will not really go in them. rfactor you can stay in one server and do a race weekend, then go to next track, do it all over again, in a class car.
but still. live on both games. they make me both very hapy
ok. i just see it time and time again a lack of respect to demo users. its not the way to build upon the lfs community, nor will it give it a good reputation. anyway, any answers to my post for my jps skin?
if you go on the tiscali forums you will soon enough find ut that hardly anyone who has tiscali can play online in peak hours. if you can you are very lucky. i cant get a list of games, but i can connect if i click on join specific game. try that. just type the name of the server. if you dont know it look on lfs world.
i am moving from tiscali as soon as poss, its been 4 - 5 months since this problem first arose, and from what ive heard nothing has progressed. tiscali are rated at the bottom on many ISP rating sites. so i would not recommend staying wit them.
i would say only theortically. driving on a sim and in real life are very different things, and i dont think physically the two relate at all. there is also some of natural instinct when racing for real.
Right. im not a proffesional skinner, but i love the JPS livery that senna used to race. so i thought id have a go at it. im proud, but was wondering if someone could just sharpen it up a bit for me. someone like gobby its already uploaded so make it hi res, smooth out the rough edges give it some nice shading etc (although its black) but you know.
everyone goes on about the crappy mods on rfactor, but there are many great mods too, and i think you will find that the crappy mods get left behind, and the great mods remain to be played again and again. the megane mod for rfactor, one of the first mods to be on rfactor, still played today online with full servers. still, i dont think lfs needs modding, although i would love to have some great race series in lfs, as the online play is great. rfactors online play needs work. possibly for the future.
when im racing online im always using paddles because they are faster. but when i want to really enjoy myself, i will switch to the when im hotlapping or on another game. i love usiong the shifter just the problem is not everyone has to use it, which means they get an advantage tyhat isd pointless in me not having. but the shifter does not collect dust because i dont like it, i love it, more of a challenge, makes you feel well into driving.
well, basically i think we should have the option of turning the number plate on formula cars on or off, as they sometimes run over the skin. it really isnt a big deal but would be nice, maybe if we can place tghe number plate where we want.
for example, ive just made a JPS senna skin for the fox, but the number plate overwrites parts of it, and kinda ruins it.
was there to see the shame, why people want to do this is far beyond me. but i have seen him before, in redline 2 ages back. seriously this guy needs to go.
well +1, the car is a real car, which means it should sound like the real thing. the other cars are pretty much fantasy, so they can have custon and original sounds.
+1, more realistic, properly done. i think lfs cold tyre situation, needs to be more obvious, i can still drive just as fast on my first lap when with cold tyres than on thr next fe laps. theres a difference, but when tyres are cold there is barely any grip, on lfs there is alot to start with.
