Rite, well ok... Thats your opinion then... Im definitly not someone like that. In my eyes, i see myself as a hardcore LFS driver, its someone who plays it every day for several hours, knowing every track inside out, and having a fair share of driven kilometers, in my eyes thats a Hardcore lfs driver.

According to the replys and the poll here you can say most of us want it, so whats the point in saying that im deciding for other ppl... Maybe i have put that sentence in a unlucky way, and i should have put it in a different way, so sorry for that then.

There is no need to make such a fuzzz about nothing, also your thinking that i want to force the devellopers making new tracks ASAP... Like i said before thats absolutely not the idea behind this. We dont need any rants for that. Its purely to see what others think, and maybe to give away a signal of what we would like next...

We dont know what the devellopers have in mind for us in the next patch... We cant demand anything from them, we only can give away problems with the software, improvement suggestions and give away signals of what the LFS community would like to see next. Thatswhy we have this forum to make the game better.

I waited long with this thread because it seems ppl see it as another track discussion topic with moaning ppl, and often you get discussions running out of hand, we dont need that offcourse.
I thought it was the right time to post and see how other people think about it.

Anyways, carry on giving opinions guys... And who knows what the devvs have in mind for us in the next patch...

Ow and plz no discussions about other guys, everyone is free to say what they want to say what they think. No matter if they have done 10k or 100k miles or kilometeres... But i think that amateur drivers dont have such a view of the game, as professional drivers who have been racing LFS since the DEMO or S1.

Dawm licensed since 2005 and still only 35 posts... HAHAHAHHAHA....

Well, guys keep to the point dont wander around too much about other things then the tracks ok.

TBH, i have most race games LEAGAL offcourse, atm im playing more and more and more Rfactor for instance then LFS, ok i will drive LFS for leagues etc, but still, if those leageu's werent there, i probably wouldnt be driving LFS at all AGAIN till a new patch...

For the die hard drivers its just getting boring, i made this thread because i felt i needed to post it, its getting on my nerves that im bored with the best race game...

Even if i would stop racing for lets say 6 months, it wont do any good, i can drive the tracks blind if i must... I only will loose some speed, the game will stay boring. Stopping for some time is not an option...

Only the online leagues keep me playing LFS sofar.... But i notice im training not very much for league races, normally i would do 1000km a day to train and setup, at this moment im like, ok 1 hour is enough...

The poll sofar tells me, that we need new tracks, its clear enough most of us are quite happy but we all almost agree on the fact that we need more places to race...

Anyways, lets wait and see what others have to say...

Well the Sauber isnt a very usefull car in LFS IMO... Its rather useless, close racing in combination with that car is useless... Althoug the so called noobs seem to like it on the kyoto oval going flat out...

Seems my feeling is supported by many others...

Hope one of the devellopers can say something too, maybe lift a little of the curtain... Of things we maybe dont know...

I think 2 configurations of a track is ok, but only if they feel that it has been done in a good way, in LFS i have too often the feeling about a config that its not done in a proper way that the track doesnt feel right.

Most modern real life tracks have often a short and a long layout.

Anyways, im really really really hoping for some new tracks, but im afraid if we dont get new tracks that my interest in the game will flow away... I have the feeling that since i got licensed in august 2005 that i havent seen anything new if its about the tracks. The game itself has made some huge steps forward but the rest is standing still...
Dying for some new and realistic tracks...

Hello guys,

In this thread i would like to see how other drivers look @ LFS and its tracks.

For some time now ive been thinking about the tracks in LFS, tbh im getting more and more annoyed with LFS, its not the game, but it are the tracks, and rather the lack of new tracks, imo LFS needs a serious track injection, we need new and realistic designed tracks without dodgy small extra layouts.

The circuits how they are atm are getting boring, or have strange track sections were you can think, how on earth have they made this.

Atm only the Aston circuit is somewhat realistic in my eyes. Its the only circuit with a good balance between high speed and slow speed corners, and the only track i enjoy driving on. For instance Kyoto National is too boring with too much simular speed corners, the problem with most of the lfs tracks is that they havent got much difference in the corner speeds, Blackwood is a typical layout which has too much corners with the same corner speed... Its not only the Kyoto layouts which are boring or have very strange chicanes... More tracks have really strange corners or chicanes, Fern bay for instance... But enough about the tracks we have... This thread is about new tracks.

Atm im dying for some new and good designed tracks, the game as it is atm is quite good without major buggs etc, i think its time for some new tracks, instead of a new patch, i think loads of guys will agree with me that we need some new tracks asap.

If i look at myself i see that im driving more and more different race games such as Rfactor... LFS imo is getting boring, if it comes to the tracks. Not the gameplay that is.

IMO there still is no game that comes near the gameplay of LFS, but other devellopers arent standing still. LFS needs to expand its track database, to keep it interesting. I dont know how difficult it is to build tracks for LFS but this year we havent seen any new ones.

Dont get me wrong, i have a deep respect for the devellopers offcourse what they have done sofar, but we really could do with some new tracks. See this as a emergency call from a hardcore LFS driver.

Maybe the less hardcore drivers wont have this problem, i think the hardcore guys will know what i feel when racing in LFS...

Dont get me wrong with this topic by the way, i dont wanna force the devellopers in making new tracks instantly offcourse, i would like to see what the community thinks what we need next, thatswhy ive made a small poll to see what you guys think.

It also would be nice if a develloper could reply to this, give his thoughts etc...

Greetings from Holland,

LFS needs a TRACK INJECTION, the game is getting better by the patch, but a new GOOD track every now and then, forget about it...

There are only a few good tracks, Aston combo's are quite ok although the last chicane isnt that realistic... But imo Aston is a good circuit the rest isnt very good, even the Blackwood layout isnt that nice anymore after a few years... Kyoto for instance has the potential tobe a good circuit, although the devvs have blown it with unrealistic chicanes, or dull layouts like Kyoto National... Most circuits have simular cornes all the way, only Aston combo's have a decent amount of low mid and fast speed corners...

I really hope there will come some new tracks soon... TBH some layouts are getting on my nerves because of stupid sections in tracks, its just so irritating sometimes... And kills my hunger to race or train in lfs... Id rather do some Rfactor on those moments...

I cant even remember when the last layouts have been released...
We need new and realisitc tracks asap... I think if they dont make some new tracks asap that our game will loose its popularity over other games... Or lets say i will loose my interest in it...

I would love to design tracks for LFS... Buttttt............

Following my teamm8, who was on the broadcast, it was no way near the MoE stream... I understand that you need to make a compromise, in quality, but id rather see a good stream then a poor quality stream were you coudnt see who was who...

Dunno how the MoE guys did it but, i enjoyed that stream very much in the last season... It was live and no buffering and the resolution was quite big, so i dont know how they do it, but maybe you guys can talk with then and find out??

Also the stream was only on 1 server, why not change to different servers under racing??? Especially on server 2 there were major fights for positions. @ MoE they changed servers very freakently.

Anyways MoE stream is the daddy in the live coverage streams sofar... Id appreciate that there is even a stream for BoTT, but it can be so much better then yesterday... Ok maybe the guys are limited in bandwith but like i said before... Id prefer a good one, id agree with raptor.

Teamm8 of mine found that the quality of the stream was not very good, bad viewing quality, Masters of Endurance had a better quality stream...

Hmm, first BOTT impressions....

Bit weird feeling that there werent any pitstops, 1 mandatory would be more fun...

Rite dunno, got a major bang from some guy in lap 8, imo it wasnt nessasary, i spun of the track in the chicane after section 1, the touch somehow twisted a part of the toe in, my race was over with car damage, which made the car understeer quite badly...

Had a nice fight last few laps, the rest of the race was quite boring with a damaged car... Coudnt push until the last 10 laps...

Ahh welll see ya the next race...

Nope cockpit view FTW...

Ahh well it happend once when i exited the pits Paul, came into a big group of cars, all new to me, so yes indeed blue flag but for who i thought??? Offcourse there was a GT1 in the group but, it was in the first slow part of the track, so instead of being a paine in the ass for the GT1, i let them almost all pass... These moments are very rare, but they can happen...

Anyways any new testrace comming soon to test the new settings or???

Yeah well i dont have a BIG problem with it BUT... Sometimes when youre in a fight with a few guys and suddenly there is a GT1, rite...... which one do you want to let pass, in slow parts you cant tell the difference, and when in a fight im not paying attention to the map ALOT... So its not always easy to see in such moments...

Ahh wel... dont get me wrong mooner... I dont care about the colors, normally i see them comming quite early so. But because he was talking about colors on the back side of the car...

Anyways this balancing race on sunday??? Thats a official MoE testsesson or one of ZWR racing???

Rite, and what about if the admins decide yes we do this color identification stuff... I think that you also need to give the front of the car such a color for identifying GT1 guys if you are a GT2 driver. Because thats even more difficult sometimes to spot in corners etc...

One other thing, my team would like to participate, i know the subscription is gonna start soon BUT...

What do we need in our team to get invited to race in the MoE league???

Weve raced in the testrace sofar, with a bit slow speeds in qualifying due to the short notice, we needed to fix a set in less then a hour, but still we were fighting in the middle field of the GT2's so im hopefull... We had some decent speed in the race...

Lolzzz the GT2 cars need to look more in the mirror, id suggest you try and drive a GT2 car instead.

Faster cars from behind are responsible for the overtaking aktion if they crash into a GT2 its their fault, it doesnt matter if the GT2 is in the way or not... You cant just say they need to look more in the mirrors, 90% of the time im watching in my mirror, cant even do a single clean lap without a gt1 passing. IMO most of the GT2 guys need a medal for how the racing went this race. I think its plain selfish to say the gt2 need to look more in the mirrors...

Cant do it much better i think.

Real life racing we also see crashes of crazy gt2 drivers or GT1 guys who think they are the HULK or something and blast through a car... I think this says alot about the professionality of the driver... Or they maybe have fallen into sleeping mode.

I had around 70 blue flags in that race... Thats more then i do in a month i think...

Well i must say, fzr cars, couldnt stand a chance in the corner or on the straight, they need 2 to 3% less air restriction. I was driving a XRR with a really bad setup so no good speed. And they were almost no match.

As for the FXR, i think the car is already too slow on the straight it needs also a bit more power so lets say 2 to 3% less air restriction, but not more then the XRR, overall i would decrease the GT2 class with 5% less air restriction, to get a little bit more fun out of the gt2 class instead of going flat out every corner without spinning off the track...

Think you guys need to decrease the GT2 air restriction in totall by 5 to 10% To get less speed difference in the classes, and also make it a bit more interesting drive then just go flat out all the way almost.

I must admit driving flat out without having the chance of spinning of the track made me sleepy and not focused and i had 2 small moments after that with a GT1 car...

Rite my first thoughts...

Ive been driving a GT2 with no training whatsoever in front, so we didnt had a good set but hey, qualifying went bad, starting from the back, we read the topic of the testrace only 1 hour in front so we had 1 hour left to make a setup ROFL.

The race was much better loads of fights, i was around place 18 - 22 so that was the main group of GT2... Racepace was ok till the pitstop. Then it all went downhill, bad setup change, couldnt do anything in the second hour then cruise around...

In the race as a GT2 driver i had the feeling that SOME GT1 guys had no respect and just almost drove through my car instead of next to it... They need to understand we also need a place on the track... This happend quite often mostly in sector 2, were you almost cant overtake... And cant make place for the guys.

And correct me if im wrong guys who want to overtake the slower GT2's are responsible for choosing a good place todo it. Not just keep 100% throttle and ram into the back of a slower car.

I think the speed difference between GT1 and GT2 is still too big.

I got 2 small incidents were i couldnt go anywere and there was a GT1 just hammering on my back... In a 2 hour race not bad i think.

Next time i WILL be driving a GT1 if we are allowed to race in MoE that is...

Organisatie
