To all who are thinking I am crazy for buying LFS: For some reason LFS feels different. It is true that I like streetracing more than circuit but it is more that I like the handling of the car, the true feeling and the feeling that all that is happening would feel rather real. That is the big deal in games for me.
LFS has that; true car handling, realistic gaming, etc. Now, you may call me ricer or that my penis grows of what ever but the true thing is that in my list the true feeling has to come first. I don't really care about graphics or anything.
(and the reason I am drifting and cruising is because I always end up last in every race I do.. so then I go drift : D )
I've been playing shift for a few days now and I got to say that I did not like this game. In my opinion, the best NFS game was Need For Speed Carbon or Underground 2. Undercover was good too. I like streetracing and I am not so much into circuit and especially not in Need For Speed.
The car handling in NFS was just way to unrealistic as I drove it and the car just doesn't do what it has to do. While shifting with my G25 stickshift I noticed that the moron in the car actually shifted after I had shifted and not simultaniously.
The first thing that I noticed while getting speed was the blur over the mirrors and my speedometer. So I could not see my revs nor speed nor what was behind me.
The graphics: For some reason I think that the LFS graphics are still way better than that crappy stuff in NFS Shift. The graphics in pro Street were even better than Shift and here I thought a game should grow instead of fail more and more.
Overall I give this game a 5/10, where points are given to the effort put in, the cars and how well you can tune/customize your car (and they haven't gotten a lot of points in there imo)
As fast as possible whilst keeping the most speed : > (only applies to racing ofc, not to real life as you have to shift smoothly there)
I first head a Microsoft SideWinder force feedback wheel. Then I got the G25 and I tried to drift.. well, that was one the biggest and quickest fails xD It took me about a month to get used to driving it and now I can drift again.
The G25 has also helped me in my driving lessons as I have done some practising at the parking lot and such. Parking my car forward and backwards etc.

I might come but I have to know the price (I know there is some mentioned in the first post but it is FINAL?). Also I have to know the exact date. I don't mind travelling to Eindhoven by train.
I love to drift the XRT in Blackwood Reverse, for some reason I cannot get a hold of the normal track. Drifting is not really about time but more a performance (as they say, I disagree but everybody disagrees with me so I guess they are right then.... oh well).
Anyways, show us a replay of you drifting and we will be able to talk about that and the average speeds in the kind of drifting that you use (clutch-kick, braking drift, inertia or even powerslide)
Edit: Just done a few laps at BL1R with the XRG and my speeds in the normal corners was ~60MPH and the hairpin was ~40MPH
I don't know how it will look, but in PhotoShop you can go to Image> Image size and adjust the size and maybe the resolution too. Again, I don't know how it will look but Photoshop usually got some nice stuff coming out of resizing images.
I agree with the first-wheel-second-license guys. As you need to master the driving first, you can better do it with a wheel then to first learn it with a keyboard/mouse and then AGAIN learning it with a wheel.
It is not a NFS (I think you mean NeedForSpeed? if so, I continue) inspired thing. It has always been there. You have either grip or drift. Some even say that (yes, initial d) there is a 'not grip, nor drift but in between' thingie. You can call it anyway you like but there is a grip run.
anyways, my main point was will heel/toe work for drifting?
- for some reason my other post got deleted so yea..
You shouldn't have forced him to go wide. If he jumps in a river, would you do the same? I mean, you are being a prick there too so you are just as bad as he is.
Not really, but it is JUST before T1. I would've gone a little more to the inside and check those blind spots if you are. If you are in front of him (and you know it) then you can move so that you can see him at all times in your mirrors.
Now he didn't see you because he didn't look into his blind spot either and therefore didn't see you. Normally when I overtake someone in, or just in front, of a large corner (as that one) I sound the horn to let them know I am there.. It usually goes wrong : >
Anywho, yes he was wrong but think for yourself, is it smart to overtake there? especially in the inside.
