I'll try that stuff, no time now... And no downloads actually...

If the torrent is good, the dll speed manages to break the speed limit. The max I got was 580, but it was only for a few seconds...

My max upload speed is around 30kB/s. It's 256kbps actually... And it's limited to 10kB/s on both PCs.

I'm on sorry ass 8MBit ADSL line here with up to 5 machines sharing it and ever when there is heavy torrent activity I don't get any disastrous slowdowns. That's with QoS disabled both on router and PCs.
Is there any model/make marking on your router? Sometimes QoS on a cheapo router might actually slow things down...

It's a long shot, but have you been having this problem for a long time or is it something new? Perhaps a simple router reboot would help...

It's ADSL... Yes, then everything works fine... Well, haven't tried limiting total conns, but upload speed is limited to less than a half of the max upload speed, and with these settings, it's okay as long as the dll speed doesn't use all the bandwidth (<--- Which is the actual problem I'm trying to "fix" here... ).
I'm not sure what QoS is, but I wasn't "adding" anything to the network, so if it wasn't already on when I got the router and the connection, it's off.
It's a Thomson SpeedTouch, not sure which one, my parents are sleeping in the room where the router is located, so can't check right now.
The problem always existed, but in the last few days we started fighting over it...

Well, when you're 16, not earning any money, not paying for the Internet and when you've got "Internet TV" from the same provider, and also, when even your father doesn't have more money, it's just not possible... So, my bro and I have much problems because if one of us downloads something, the other can't use Internet at all, because torrent takes all the speed for itself... (As you could already guess, we are on separate PCs, but on the same network (router).)

So, is there any kind of program that "splits" the network speed on 2 parts if 2 PCs are connected to the router...
So what I'm trying to say is:
The network has a max dll speed of 512kB/s.
Is there a program that would allow each PCs only 256kB/s when 2 are connected, 100 something when 3 are connected, and full speed when only one connected?
