You don't have to register for any race, you only have to show up
When you are logged on to the site you can see the passwords for the next events on the right side of the screen. On sundays we use a different pass as on the weekdays. They are both on the right.
When you are logged on to the site you will see the forthcoming events on the right of the screen. You can just turn up there, you don't have to sign up for every race. At the moment we have a summerbreak, but there will still be some 'fun' events.
I'm sorry, I mean Absolute Beginners. I'm in there as well. It's a league especially meant for the beginning drivers amongst us, but we also have some more experienced members. They are all willing to share setups and help you with your driving.
You can sign up here: http://ab-league.windos2k.com/news.php There are 2 series that run as 'closed leagues.' The Formula League (with all 4 formula cars) and the LeMans League, where, as I understand correctly, you are interested in . We run the LeMans league every 2 weeks, with the GTR's of course. This season the races are 2 hour timed races.
One of our members made a short movie about our league: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CH8qzZTRQY. Allthough this is only footage from the open league, it might get you a feeling what it is all about
You will have to race at least 3 races at our open league. After you completed 3 races you may apply for a spot in the closed leagues. The board of trusties decides if you may race in the closed leagues. If you have shown good sportsmanship in the past and you have driven the minimum of 3 races in our open league then you are likely to become a closed league racer.
Hey guys,
I've made a simple movie about a league I'm participating in. But when I publish it in MovieMaker, the lower half of the image gets green. Does anyone know why this happens? It happens only after publishing. When playing it in MovieMaker it is allright. It is my 3th video, the first 2 were just fine.
I just saw the whole replay of the race. I think Amen1 had the race of his life! Battling for many laps with Sidewinder1009 with multiple overtaking. And in the last 5 laps or so you had to give everything to stay in front of Miro-fin-. Excellent driving!
Oh crap, that really sucks! But hey, I can only blame myself. Although I don't think a drive-through or even a 10 second stop-and-go penalty would cost 30 seconds... But this is the way it is.
So, gratulations to JCY. Have fun with S2!
And I also want to thank Gekkibi for this great competition . It was really professional! I mean, with all the P-Q's and the realistic conditions (wind, flags, safetycar, marshalls, penalties ). So I'll will gladly join a possible new competition of yours!
I know about the rules, Gekkibi explained them very clear right for the race. That's why I was really expecting a penalty, but was kind of surprised I didn't get one. I'm still not confident about it...
And congratulations to Zany indeed. From almost giving up LFS to getting a S2 account!
Edit: I just saw Kimi Raikkonen didn't get a penalty either for exactly the same accident
That's what I thougt at the moment the incident happenened: early braking. But when I watch the replay I don't think Boxer really braked early. I didn't know if Zany was still beside me so I didn't want to get beside Boxer...
@ Superobo: I know I was wrong with the crash, I apologized for it. But the pitlane was not closed! So I just took the chance. As mentioned earlier in this thread, the closed pitlane conditions were abandoned.
@ Sidewinder1009: about the touching: I had inner line and as you can see in the 'Bird-View' you had plenty of space to avoid the contact.
I want to make my sincere apologies to Boxerrumble. I know it was my fault in first lap. I hitted him. It was a really tricky situation with 3 cars beside each other on the first straight!
In the race I was thinking I should maximize the gap to nr. 2, because of a possible time-penalty after the race.
Gekkibi, you should give me a penalty. Just not more than 20 seconds please
