I'd love to know what the S3 cars are, but I have a feeling we won't be told, a) because it's a surprise! And b) in case there are any technical difficulties that mean they can't be put into the game.
S.E.T.H. is right to an extent though, this thread is not about discussion of DOTA 2, or Scirocco etc. This is about the progress made with the Westhill update.
At the moment I have LFS CMX Viewer installed alongside my lfs install, i.e. in the LFS folder, and am customising some of the dds textures for the cars (specifically the dash)
At the moment, I have to close and reopen LFS viewer every time I want to check a change.
Is it possible (pretty please!) to have the reload button in the viewer reload the DDS textures as well as the skin?
It appears that admin sections/beta sections (if they exist which I assume they do) are not visible. However you can tell there's something there because it throws out a different 404 response (comes up with a blank rather than just redirecting to the main forum)
Nothing that really matters but just something to know.
Or just spec every person in turn with OG mode set to 2. The currently selected car's data is output when spectating in OG 2. Don't know if that is much help though.
I'd like to be able to change the braking effort of the handbrake between cars, for example on the road cars it's a little too strong, almost like a hydraulic handbrake, whilst on the XFR for example it's pretty weak.
It's always been said that LFS IS NOT A SCREENSHOT GENERATOR. And I like it like that - If I wanted to just take screenshots I'd play GT6 or something.
The only real change I'd like to see graphically is that slightly-blue tyre smoke implemented as standard.
Furthermore, all the other cars are subtly based on real cars. For example FZ5 is based on a Porsche, obviously the LX cars are caterhams/westfields, the XRG/T/R are versions of the Mitsubishi Starion, the Formula XR is a Formula Renault and so on.
