The best thing about this competition is, that even "crappy edited movies" have a chance to win. It's the idea that counts! So everyone who has basic editing skills is able to take part and even win. I guess that, and the fact that the movie has to be very short, which force you to be creative, made this competition so sucessful.

Most people don't really wait just for the Scirocco. Including me. And it wouldn't stop the complaining about the lack of content either. After waiting for so long, if they release only the Scirocco as new content, this would be a bad joke, nothing more.
By this time, LFS needs more than just one car to satisfy many customers and to bring back the trust in LFS development. And it really looks bad for LFS today. The special thing about LFS is the work-in-progress atmospere. And I completly miss this nowadays. And many people are still hoping that the upcoming patch will be big considering the time it took them to release it. I hope it won't be another let down. It sounds very negative, I know, but it looks like this is the last chance for LFS.

The limited setup options lead to a strange behavior of the LFS cars including the new VWS because of some flaws in the physic engine. But as long as there are no limited setups, the cars are as good as ever before. Aren't they? Or are all cars now suddenly undriveable? I hope you get my point.
And what is wrong with releasing new tracks? Why does the things Scawen work on affect Erics work? I'm am still waiting for an answer on this topic.

No new track since the S2 release back in 2005! Still some cars are in S1 stage. That is really poor.

I never commented here about the current "progress". But now I just have to:
I don't get it. Why is it not possible to release at least one track per year? Or a car? Where are the cockpits? It's ok that the physics will take it's time. But why not release some new content? Before you flame me you Fanboys. I'm a fanboy as well. I'm with LFS from the very beginning! But I miss new content badly. I would pay for it. As long as they keep coming up with something new once in a while. I can say that the majority of the German community is let down.

Yes, this is my biggest problem. I have a 4 years old PC and it isn't always possible to get enough frames while capturing the scenes, especially with this high resolution. To avoid this, I drop the replayspeed zu 1/4 or sometimes 1/2 and accelerate it while editing to get at least 30 FPS. But unfortunately this is a hardware issue. Mostly noticeable during slowmotion scenes because of not beeing able to speed up the recorded scenes. This was a big let down in a movie I did recently: "eternity". But I loved the idea.

But as you said, most of the scenes are smooth.
