Maybe it's the CPU diode. This temp changes instantly, according on the CPU usage.
Having a 3000 too (@2500Mhz, perfectly stable), normal CPU temp is 31°, and full burning is 43° (after 10mn). CPU usage at 100% for 1 or 2 sec is enough to raise up to 39°
IMHO the engine sound is very informative, but u need good headphones.
I had a noname at first, bought a Sennheiser, the difference (not only with LFS) is really impressive.
I agree, there's no Bang-Bang, no Klong gear sound, but a good engine power feeling, and a good grip feeling also.
I don't agree with that : we paid for the full S2 version, and we have the S2 Alpha ATM.
I'm pointing that out cause it can be misunderstood : there will be no extra-charge for the S2 Full version.
Did you look at CPU usage? Edit : yes you did (better read carefully before posting) :red:
I have the same kind of issue, but with MSN 7.5 (maybe cause I didnt' unlock it in the firewall). When it freezes, my CPU usage raises to 100%, and my CPU temp 42°c (AMD 64 3000+ inside), witch is near it's highest burning temp (43°c after 12mn Prime 95)
Immediately after killing or unfreezing MSN (several right click on the icon in the systray is enough), the CPU temp drops to 31°c (normal idle temp).
Maybe you have the same kind of problem, but with USB drivers?
MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Amazing! mosquito, with a voice from beyond the grave
I'll come this night, and i'll eat all your blood. You'll die! Pouh! :spidereek
ps : just kidding, don't be scared
Edited for more precision : As I understand, you labeled me as a hardcore supporter, the first group. But I've just told him that
Strange, isn't it? /Edit
Edit : sry, going to take a shower, I'm wet :ices_rofl
Hmmm, not these ones. You know, there are several kinds of Trolls, and some require a big brain for all that high level skills and this big memory.
Giving you another example : an elephant's brain is 4 times heavier than the human ones, but we can't say an elephant is more intelligent than a human.
You know, this thread is just a big Troll started by three silly men, clamoring for a progress report, abusing hypocrisy and insincerity, neglecting all awnsers we write (and dev's opinion and arguments also). Edit : I can prove it.
Read it, you'll see : apart their recurrent whining posts, our awnsers, and some RBR hints, this thread is near empty. Edit : giving you a hint : trolls I'm talking about are from Brazil. But be careful, there are many other brazilians, who aren't trolls.
Scawen said he already started working on theses bugs, but there is a huge research/experiment job before coding (and IMO a lot of testing after coding) let's give him some time to do that.
So don't base your decision on this thread.
Edit2 : thanks to the three Trolls for helping Dev's marketing
Edit3 : when they were 5 years old, all my nephews and nieces had the same kind of behaviour than these trolls, but they've stopped at 7
Yes, the 6600GT GPU gets pretty hot with standard heatsink (mine was 73°c when playing or benchmarking), but a Zalman VF700 Al-Cu gave me a full 20°C gain (GPU heat 53°C) with far better overclocking. Checked with SpeedFan, so I had a 12mn graph).
As I know there's only 1 restriction : that heatsink needs a wide case (at least on AGP cards)
And the true reason for changing was the noise level only , not the heat (73° is not so high for a GPU)
