I would love to see a rotary powered car in LFS. I cannot see it happening though.

Well no replies yet but it is the weekend after all, here what i'm currently using as my settings:

-steer rate: 0.80
-return rate: 0.60
-limit multiplier: 0.75
-button control rate: 6.00

so i tried lower settings and it was terrible, i just cant find the righrt balance and i'm sure these settings are far from optimal!!

so who uses keyboard and hsa a good all round setup? drift/rally/race etc just a good all round setup.

I did a search on control setups and keyboard control setups, but it appears that since patch X the information I found (very little) is out of date.

I'm wondering what the best all round settings are for the keyboard stabilised control mode?
I.e.
-steer rate
-return rate
-fast steer multiplier
-slow steer multiplier
-limit multiplier
-button control rate

I'm not using fast and slow steer at the moment.
Also this may be a stupid question but currently i'm using the arrow keys to steer and accelerate and brake, is this wise? or will having the brake and accelerate as forward and back conflict in some way?

Help would be great, thank-you.

P.S noone bag out my spelling of keyboard in the title, my mistake.

I have the same problem, was fine before patch X...
Seems to me there are quite a few threads of this nature at the moment. I started one in beginners when i joined, there is one in the programmin bugs section too.
Hopefully dev's will sort out some sort of fix or explanation soon.

IMO too many people have experienced this problem for it to an individual hardware issue...

I like to use the hotlap feature currently because I do not want to join an online game (i'm new).

Why?
Because I dont want to crash into other cars and ruin a race for everyone else. Until I can drive properly I will keep doing this.

I went online today but i only went in empty servers. A guy came along and it was fun because we were both beginners, but I dont know the rules well enough to join a full game yet.

I remembered those pictures in order like that, but I don't remember the dirt on it like that though.

The other skin that I have that I remember it being was "XRnice" which I have attached. I take no credit in the skin, but I'm unaware of the maker of the skin, and due to the name of the skin which I believe I downloaded off of LFSFiles anyway it is near impossible to search with the name "nice".

Both of these are for S1, so if you want them, hopefully someone will be nice enough to fix them up for you for S2.

As much as I love the Gen 1's, I do like the Gen 2 and 3's also. If someone could modify this 2nd gen one for S2 I would appreciate it.
Before posting this I also did a page by page search in the finished skin thread where I found about 3-4 rx7 skins most with broken links and obviously designed for S1 or something because they didnt work.

I would love to see a skin of a 1983 model series 2 mazda rx7.
It's a rotary powered car that I happen to own in real life.
they are a beautiful car, I am new to LFS so if this car is impossible to skin please let me know.

if possible with no decals whatsoever just clean and original.
i'm probably asking too much but if someone can do it i'll be very greatful.

if i need to supply any more pics let me know.

alternatively an FD rx7 skin would be awesome too (series 8).

Ok, well was there a solution to this bug in patch W?
If so, i'll try that, otherwise i'll just run it windowed on my laptop.

except it happens EVERY time i use shift+F4 to go full screen.
i can run in windowed mode fine...

Hi guys,
Up until patch X I could run LFS fine. Now whenever I use the shift+F4 key to go to full screen the screen goes black and I cant do anything. I can still hear music however, also CTRL+ALT+DEL does not work.
So I end up having to hold down the power button and restarting that way.

If it matters I have another monitor set up. my primary screen is my laptop i have a CRT hooked up as an extended desktop (LFS only runs on the laptop screen).

As said earlier it has worked fine until now, albeit a little slowly as my computer isnt that crash hot.

Going S2 licensed tonight if I can figure out this problem, otherwise theres no point im only able to play on a windowed screen on a small laptop screen at the moment.
