I'm pretty new to this and want to see how the pros race. Is there somewhere where you can download hotlaps? I've searched here and only found 3 posts with 'download hotlap'. I googled, but found nothing useful.

I looked at the hotlap records on lfsworld but couldn't download any from there.

Or do you have to rely on a friendly racer to post a hotlap at Blackwood GP in an F08? ?

Since I upgraded from demo to S2, I've suffered some bad blocks on the disk (not as a result of LFS I hasten to add), but now getting 'unable to initialise sound' messages when the game starts and i get no sound.

I'm replacing the disk this week, but am still expecting LFS to have the problem . I'm going to copy the current LFS files to the new disk, then copy the installation files over the top of them to refresh any missing/corrupt ones.

My question is what will I lose as a result of this (e.g. Controller settings/calibration, licence key, etc)?

Obvious I know, but could it be your something doing an auto-update (virus/firewall/windows)?

Do you have some other software running that kicks in occasionally?

I had a similar problem and found it was mailwasher checking for new mail.

I only found the game last week and after a week on the demo decided to buy it And boy is it going to take some learning and plenty of practice

I normally prefer the 'over the bonnet' view when driving 'games', but thought I'd see what others use.

I can see the 'behind the car' view allows you to see who's around you better, but it's not like driving.
