Walking down the hallway, turning the corner and sitting next to my older sister at the top of the steps. Silent, both of us. I had the hugest amount of dread I have felt, ever before and since. Something very bad was going to happen.
Then I woke up.
To this day I vividly remember that dream and the pure, stark terror.
I am most excited that Scawen got some (more? He must have seat time in other type of cars.) real track time. The experience he will take from that and apply to LFS can only mean continually increasing realism.
The first thing I am going to do is stall the car with my G25.
Thanks LiveforSpeed team!
P.S. Keep your son interested in all of this; he can be a 2nd coder in a few more years and help put the polish on S3. Free child labor, think of all the money you will save!
I really never messed with the Wheel Turn Compensation in LFS, but now that it has been explained in this thread I am going to be setting it to 0.0 and changing the G25 Rotation Degrees in the Control Panel to match each car I drive in.
I will also be setting Maximum Steering Lock in the Garage to be fairly low, close to what the tightest corner on whatever track I am driving is.
So, who wants to explain the Parallel Steer setting in the Garage?
am i talking about the original post? am i talking about the responses to the original post? am i talking about my post? am i talking about posts of yesteryear?
You know, if we were all sitting around in an old age home shooting the shit day after day, and two years ago we had all had a big heated discussion about something and everyone had calmed down after a time and then along comes Joe Martinez, after another trip to the proctologist room, in his wheelchair and blurts out something that drags up all the old feelings from two years ago because he missed his meds by 15 minutes, I'd get up from my electric scooter and bash you over your stupid head with my carbon fibre cane for being such a droolie.
Close to around 70 degrees. I move it a little one way or another for different cars. It is what looks most natural to me, regardless of how much dashboard fits onto the screen.
But! But...! but August 26th is American LeMans at Mosport! Everybody should be driving-flying-swimming-biking-crawling to Canada and watching that.
20 GMT works out to 4pm Sunday EST here in Canada. That is actually perfect for me. I have been in one league (GPL), but the times in most leagues never seem to jibe with my work schedule. Ima gonna think on this for awhile
I am a very minimalist type of guy. I turn off avatars, signatures, smilies, and I adblock a lot of stuff on all the web forums I read.
I just need to see who posted and what they had to say, everything else is web forum 'tuning', ie putting a big fart can muffler on the forum software.
In my opinion, having that big block of wasted space after each and every post showing who 'thanked' is not a good way to get rid of forum clutter, unless I can turn it off in my user control options.
EDIT : I see the block is only under posts that have 'thankers', sorry, it isn't under every post. oops.
I like to race online WITH the AI and a few friends. The AI makes thing more interesting for us. We like longer races than the typical 5 lap AS GTR races that are prevalent online.
But we haven't been able to do this since GPL. (LFS online = AS Nat GTR no wind sunny = GPL online = monza no damage 10 laps everyone pile into the Lotus rofflemo)
I am really looking forward to the AI being worked on.
Once, a long long time ago, I parked in a handicap spot when on delivery. There was nowhere else to park. Got a $75 ticket. Learned me good to never do that again.
I have sometimes held onto the metal bar they put into hotel showers when severely hungover.
I have walked up the ramps instead of stairs, if the ramp was closer; so there goes your theory of 'they just slow you down'.
I will always remember where I was and what I was doing the day tonyonparas bought S2. This is a day that will be remembered for all time. Truly a momentous event in human history.
