Quote from JohnPenn :What I would like to see Is pick up racing that asks a bit more, qually period, no mid race join, longer races.. and more laughs AFTER the race

But who wants this?

That's what I'd like too, but as you said it is probably "asking too much" for people who just want some quick racing and see nothing else to LFS other than that

I think LFS the old days seemed to be about having fun racing all day with people that wanted the same thing, get to know more racers, just drive around bumper to bumper looking for some close racing fun even if it meant going much slower or not finishing in the lead. Now everything most people seem to care about is winning races no matter what, set the fastest lap times and avoid everyone from getting in their way because they slow them down. Or at least that's what I've been noticing lately

Quote from mcintyrej :Make the cylinder value an input variable! Not something you can choose from a list. Or at least include the odd numbers in the list. What I think is the greatest rally car ever made (Audi S1) used a 5 cylinder engine.

I've got a XFG with a 2500 5 cyl turbo setup and it sounds spot on to the S1 with some sound tweaking.

I make pixelcars and I'm registered on that board Smax posted, there are some LFS bases there, though most of them are inaccurate. Latest one iirc is an XFG made by Recaro;

Pixelcars now are way more complex, with pixel made AA and more shades than the classic pixel art.

Here's an example with a tune of mine so you can see:

I was really confused since I could see people online on LFSWorld a few minutes back, thought it was a problem on my end.

Quote from Forbin :Yuck. Why the hell would you have that set to full? It completely dilutes any feedback that LFS is giving you.

Well I have it on full, I'm used to it and it works for me, I like the way I receive the feedback too

If if helps I've got a MSFF and my Force Feedback and Return to Center Tension settings are on full on Windows and I use like 40-45% FF in-game depending on the car, works flawlessly, although I get that vibration you talk about sometimes mostly when I'm countersteering, but that's because my FF motor sometimes doesn't get all the power it needs due to some weird reasons I can't remember.

Quote :3. With a little more testing I can now say that the wheel will go to full lock when turning the wheel slightly when not moving, or moving very slowly (<5 kph).

Did you turn it lock to lock and then check if this still happens? Probably you already knew that but most of the times that solves that problem for me.

You can, but it asks you for your password and for some unlocking code, well, you gotta change your password, cant remember if it was the gamepassword or the web one, but you've got to change it, then put it as if it was the unlocking code, put it as the password too and it'll work. Did that with 0.3E

If they got permission all the rest of the teams will start using them soon then.

Well I think those would hardly increase the brake cooling cause from what I see they haven't got any holes except for the wheel nut hole.

They have moondiscs and I think that's why they are so fast on straights, those rims are used on cars that run on max speed competitions so they must give them a few extra km/h, don't think they increase brake cooling in any way though.

Uh, P4 2.4, 512mb ram @ 133 Mhz! it's supposed to run @ 266, cause it's a PC2100, but I have no idea how to get it to do so, ATI 9600XT, around 45fps online with 6-7 cars around me, 2xAA 4xAF. When I'm alone it's usually 80-90fps, haven't tested it without AA or AF yet.
