I started demo around Jan 2004, got S1 around March 2004

No majors for me. Only put one car into a ditch so far.
Was in a 91 Mitsi Galant, FWD
Went into a blind corner at about 100, the corner started off wide, then went downhill and turned sharp, rear of the gave way tried to counter steer but it just kept going sideways and eventually head on into the ditch.

Only needed a new front bumper and a bit of hammering on the hood and it was ok.


(Btw, that's 100 km/h, the speed limit here)

Ok, i'm sure this has been answered, but I really do not want to go through all those pages, i've already tried a few things people have told others with the same problem..

I keep getting told (when I run Mecanik) that i'm missing msstdfmt.dll
Which is bullshit cause It's in my system32 folder.

Friend told me to run the msstdfmt.dll file, but how do you run it? :S It just says "Open with.." when I double click the msstdfmt.dll file.

I own an R34 25GT Skyline, and I love them to peices, but i am glad to see that one smashed and crushed. Serves dickheads who speed on the road right.

You can force a player to spectate, which means they have to change cars.

Yes, most stock turbo cars will have wastegates, and most are internal.
If you want the "ppshhh" sound, thats when you get the dumpvalve/blow off valve.

More people need to buy S2, yes.
If I didn't have S2, and it was a choice I had to make between buying the upcoming NFS Most Wanted or S2, it'd be S2. It's cheaper, and better for its physics and online community.

I can't say too much, as I'm not a technical buff, but from what I know, it's actuated when the pressure is released from the gas, so it will acuate when you release the gas pedal.

Ofcourse you can, the dumpvalve is part of the turbo system, not transmission.

I was kicked from OptusNet LFS #2, assuming because of the server going down, and now when I try join a server I get "Username already online" and on LFS World it says i'm online at that server..

You're probably right. I'll have a play with a few different sounds and try make something myself, if it sounds bad, go back to stock lol

I am after a new BOV sound for LFS, and I was wondering if anyone had, or is willing to make one for me.
I want one that is like the WRC cars, you know you hear them with that high pitched squeeky sound. I didn't think they sounded good, but when I went in a Group A car on the weekend I loved it, so does anyone have it, or could make it?

It's good they have lots of servers, but what LFS really needs, is a FASTER server list.
It takes 2 minutes to get 350 servers on LFS, but I could get 9,000 servers on Counter Strike in that same time.

It's the same case as with the shifting. If the last letter you type is the letter mapped for changing down a gear, it changes down. Annoying really..

I wana see a really long track, like 7-8 minutes, with changes of elevation, like start high above sea level, then go downhill.
Not so much a downhill "mountain" just a long track with a downhill look to it.

When I open LFS, it opens in a small window, so when I press SHIFT F4 to make it take up the whole screen it minimises itself to the toolbar.
Then when I click on LFS on the toolbar it opens for a second then minimises again.
The only way to stop it minimising again is clicking like crazy and hitting ESC heaps when you click LFS on the toolbar.

It done it for a few other games, so I dont think its an LFS problem, so what can I do to stop it?

I want to see more sedans..
