Do you think that racers while doing a hotlap, or racing, whatever, are cutting curves that much like in your video ? I know that here it was for showing that great LFS (suspension) physics, but I like it better when it looks more realistic.

For next time, improve fps (record at half speed, then double the fps at the vdub), hide chat messages, improve camera work, get full fraps, and play the patch z...

It depends on monitor maybe, is it possible that your monitor is too big to allow 1280x960 ? I have there any resolutions from 640x480 to 1280x1024 and i was recording the last video at 800x600/fullsize/no sound/speed at 0.125x@10FPS. (Yeah i have a crappy comp, so i needed to do this to make video smooth as... as it was)

As far as I know, TV widescreen use 16:9 (you now have set 16:10), so if you want to watch it on tv then, record at 1280x720 and fullsize at fraps (well if you don't have it there too, then try to find 2560x1440 and record at half size, but that's really big resolution and i don't know what your fps will look like...), many gaming videos now have this resolution.

But i don't like FPS meter in top-left.

With my DFP I found it harder to drift in patch Z, more grip on cold tyres, which means I need to push it far harder than before and still be more focused to avoid understeer, otherwise on warm tyres it's much easier to oversteer than before. But I'm getting used to it. (DFP at 720 degrees)

Well the main reason why is rF so popular is the modding ability, so if you want to compare LFS and rF, rF has to be modded.



Sry, I couldn't help myself, I'm hardcore LFS fan and I don't like style of simbin's games...

Well i have two favourite corners, one at SO4R when drifting and the other one at WE1 when racing...

8800GT is a bit old now, if i was you, i would wait for the ATi 4870 or 4850s' revision (their original coolers aren't good enough), or another solution, buying 4850 + some better fan. 4850s have now very good price and good performance.
