Quote from Bob Smith :Now I wish I can find the time to dust the wheel box. Frown

It takes less than 30 seconds from clicking the LFS icon to being on track, that includes clamping your wheel to the desk.

Try it Thumbs up

I have a problem of windows drivers taking control of my wheel when joining the track from the pits or spectate, at restarts or just randomly during a race. I notice it has happened when the ff goes weird or the wheel goes off center. Pressing shift + c ingame resets the controller, and switches it back to LFS.

Quote from Bila_KHS :Yes. Which part you didn't understand?

The bit where SO.South hacked their LFS to have an unfair advantage over everyone else. He has been racing with this hack for so long, he claims to have "forgot" he had done this. That means SO.South has been cheating our racing community, in every race on every server he has been in for some time, not just in your one race. To remove him from the results of just one race is not a fair punishment for someone who has cheated in every race for a long time.

SO.South knew his clutch was safe, how could he not know when players were complaining in chat that their clutch was overheating, and some dropped out of the race due to frying their clutch, but he carried on to the end of the race with a cool clutch, and only admitted to cheating when caught out. Cheaters are also liars, and you fell for it.

I can't find a full LFS terms and conditions, but I assume modifying the game code itself is something that will get your LFS account terminated.

Being in charge of something is a pain in the ass, isn't it? Wink

Quote from Bila_KHS :
REMEMBER - next time if we will caught someone Cheating or using third party programm to get better gap and leave others behind - there will be permanent ban for our Fragmaster's League.

Cheats and no ban = win

It's not bothering me. We had a good evening on a busy B2R last night. If I can't get on, I'll do something else instead (all over pubg mobile atm).

We'll all still be here when the attackers run out of pocket money and go away Thumbs up

I remember being slow, clumsy and frustrated with LFS. Then I tried rallycross, and found how far you could throw the car sideways into a corner whilst still keeping control, and how important braking is to settling or upsetting the car into a corner. I went from crap to average, almost overnight.

Quote from lucaf :I think there was an issue that if you put /hour=1 the race will be one hour plus one full lap? If I remember correct, that was a problem for Ade Big grin

There's no extra full lap. After one hour, the race finishes when the leader passes the finish line. I know this because I ran a one hour race every Thursday for ~seven years on the Dead men racing server. It would take me just a few seconds to setup the server for the event.

Top 15 overall GTi 2017 Season? why not the top 17? Wink

Thx to all involved for organising, it's been good fun to race in the XFG part of the series last year Thumbs up

p.s.
Quote :Every Race lenght will be set to achieve aproximetly 1 hour race (laps depends on track)

dunno why you are manually calculating the race length in laps, the simple command is: /hours 1

I dl'd the demo over christmas 2003. No registration needed, just run the game, pick a name and off you went in the xfg, xrg or xrt. I remember being impressed by the graphics and smoothness for a demo. Setting the car up was easy. Max tyre pressures, full stiffness on the springs and dampers, lowest ride height and maximum track width.

On my first night, someone said in game chat to me, "the force is strong in this one", which was encouraging, so I stuck around, until the rFactor demo came out a few months later and we all went over there for a while. LFS felt a better driving experience than rFactor, so I bought LFS.

Rules of racing on track

Where are the rules? I've never seen any posted up.

Stuff like the one-move rule from the FIA Sporting Regulations:

More than one change of direction on a straight is called weaving and is NOT permitted. This rule is stated under sporting regulation 20.3.

"20.3 More than one change of direction to defend a position is not permitted."

When one driver is completely ahead of another on a straight, they are permitted to make a move in one direction. This move can be of any size, within the track limits, and the move can be made as slowly or as quickly as the driver likes — they can jink suddenly to one side or they can spend an entire straight gradually shifting across the track. This rule is stated under sporting regulation 20.4

"20.4 More than one change of direction to defend a position is not permitted. If a driver has moved off the racing line while defending their position, they may move back but must ensure there is at least one car’s width between their own car and the edge of the track."

and who owns the apex?:

It is generally accepted that the attacker must be at least halfway alongside the defender when they reach the apex to have a reasonable claim to this piece of track. Moreover, the attacker should not have achieved this position by carrying too much speed to make the corner — this method is called dive-bombing.

In my experience, it seems there are quite a lot of players who don't know how to race properly. If they did, they would enjoy it more. Big grin

An enjoyable event Big grin swapping places with Rony several times during the race, and Cygnus always just behind, patiently waiting for us to make mistakes. A drag race to the finish line, with me just enough in front to take the place.

Congrats to Mikke on 1st place in everything again.
