Rules of racing on track

Where are the rules? I've never seen any posted up.

Stuff like the one-move rule from the FIA Sporting Regulations:

More than one change of direction on a straight is called weaving and is NOT permitted. This rule is stated under sporting regulation 20.3.

"20.3 More than one change of direction to defend a position is not permitted."

When one driver is completely ahead of another on a straight, they are permitted to make a move in one direction. This move can be of any size, within the track limits, and the move can be made as slowly or as quickly as the driver likes — they can jink suddenly to one side or they can spend an entire straight gradually shifting across the track. This rule is stated under sporting regulation 20.4

"20.4 More than one change of direction to defend a position is not permitted. If a driver has moved off the racing line while defending their position, they may move back but must ensure there is at least one car’s width between their own car and the edge of the track."

and who owns the apex?:

It is generally accepted that the attacker must be at least halfway alongside the defender when they reach the apex to have a reasonable claim to this piece of track. Moreover, the attacker should not have achieved this position by carrying too much speed to make the corner — this method is called dive-bombing.

In my experience, it seems there are quite a lot of players who don't know how to race properly. If they did, they would enjoy it more. Big grin

An enjoyable event Big grin swapping places with Rony several times during the race, and Cygnus always just behind, patiently waiting for us to make mistakes. A drag race to the finish line, with me just enough in front to take the place.

Congrats to Mikke on 1st place in everything again.

Another with a 13 year old Logitech Momo. With well over 500,000km use, it's a little worn, but everything still works Big grin

Two 303's and an 808: http://errozero.co.uk/acid-machine/
Click play (top left) and click the randomize button on the top synth until you get a pattern you like. Then twiddle with the knobs Smile You can select a 909 on the drums too.

When you think you know it all, try: https://www.audiotool.com/app and click rookie acid vintage setup, click past the tour and press the play button on the sequencer. You get 303, 808, 909 and more. Smile

That's almost the same layout as Blindfury, Twiggy and me made when the new Westhill came out, except we went throught the industrial estate rather than the roundabout. You even start at the same place. Our's is fully race ready with markings and pit's (minus Twiggys hay bales that he spent all night putting around every post, then I spent an hour removing, sry Twiggles Heart )

It's a great, high speed, road race circuit in places. Thumbs up

Dead men racing.... is a basic "turn up and race" server, there's always an admin keeping check on anti-social behaviour from 7:30-10:00 pm gmt. We race one car on one track for a week in races of around 10 minutes with a break of five minutes inbetween, culminating in a one hour race on thursday evening, 8:00pm for quali, race start at 8:30 gmt.

Anyone is welcome, slow or fast, we'll even send you over a setup if you say please

Quote from EQ Worry :Did you overwrite the two Aegio library (DLL, PDB) files?

Yes. !ptc didn't work at first but !top did, now !ptc does but !top doesn't

When Updating from 235b to 235c we only overwrote the Airio.exe Airio.pdb LiveForSpeed.InSim.Aegio.dll LiveForSpeed.InSim.Aegio.pdb files, should we have updated any other files?

Thx

Thanks EQ Worry Airio is looking really good now and has added extra fun to our Dead Men Racing servers.

As we change our track and car once a week on a Thursday at about 21:45, is it possible to have the championship stats changed at a user defined time rather than on the default Sunday? or a new "combo championship" started at track load with the !ptcc stats stored for that combo when race end is used a week later would be perfect.
