Yeah, but with the massive torque and the heavier engine, the FWD's would be even more likely to uuuuundersteer and traction problems will occur (just like in real life)
I do own a diesel car (BMW 3 Series, 320td 185hp/400NM chipped ) so I would REALLY welcome sporty diesel engines in LFS.
For ppl thinking that this kind of engines sound like *§$"=§ in general, I'll give you a link to see/hear that: http://www.eisenmann-technik.d ... kat_audio_ovs_rbrk_33.php
Great work at all, the cars feel much more predictable now (as many said before me).
But there's still one question I have to repeat: Why was the pointing system removed? Did it cause any disadvantages?
Now my last post concerning the BMW-Drivers topic... here where I live most people that own a BMW:
- either have to drive to work more then 70 km on the autobahn.
- they just want a car, that is not an Audi or Mercedes (because they want no fwd or awd or an old mens' benz) but one that is reliable, sporty, fun to drive and somehow reasonable. gas is very expensive here, so many ppl are forced to drive diesels...
hmmm gotta say AMEN now, my blood pressure rises...
Oh my goodness, it's really hard to hear that from a german landsman...
I'm on german autobahn for some 100k km's too and I am driving a BMW... may I ask what car you're driving? Let me guess: an 1.6 or 1.4 Diesel? Toyota or Opel? The question aims towards my experience on german highways
I really adore the lovely machines BMW builds, they are the last sporty RWD saloons here in germany combined with nice inline 6's and so on.
But the ///M Models are more then that, they are pure racing spirit and a dream for nearly every bavarian (like I am).
All I wanted in LFS is the new BMW E60 M5 (V10 Engine, 507bhp)... or a car called 'Baiern Motorsport 5' if you won't get a license
BMW would be illepall IMHO if they didn't allow you to add this car, the M3 was even added to NFSU II... dunno what customers BMW wanted to attract with this move...
