MILAN — Ferrari says Italian Luca Badoer will replace Michael Schumacher at this month's European Grand Prix at Valencia after the seven-time world champion called off his much-anticipated Formula One comeback.
Badoer is a Ferrari test driver whose name was first floated by Italian media after Felipe Massa's crash took him off the race circuit.
Schumacher, 40, agreed to drive in Massa's place, but announced Tuesday he has canceled his return to F1 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident earlier this year. He says he informed Ferrari officials Monday evening that he would not be able to step in for Massa.
Schumacher, who retired after the 2006 season, says his neck cannot stand up to the stresses of Formula One racing.

Luciano Burti, brazilian F1 driver for Prost at 2001, said the main problem on the actual helmets are the two screw visor mouting. The carbon fiber helmets got a lot better since his accident at Spa, but at that time, there were four screws for the visor. Year after year, two of them were removed by the helmet makers... to reduce weight. 
And Schuberth had already announced they'll be using a new helmet model in the European GP, with titanium reinforcements between the visor and the body, where there was previously only plastic. It's a reaction to the accident, and they say it's now two times safer than the one Massa was using, priced at US$17,000.

I simply NEED two kinds of cars:
- GT1 spec car, like the FIA 600bhp monsters (Maserati MC12, Saleen S7...) or the japanese Super GTs (Nissan GTR, Honda NSX);
- Open and/or hard top prototypes, like Le Mans LMP1 (Peugeot 908, Audi R8/10/15...) or something smaller like the Sports 2000 (Radical SR3, SR4, MCRs...);

What about the opposite idea? IMO, it would be more "KY3" if it was converted by the devs to a faster turn... what do you think, guys?

If we wait for chassis flex, go karts will be far far away for a long time...
Ok, it doesn't have a suspension, and without chassis flex it would be too bumpy, but... we have a load of cars without it, and working well, even if some of them shoudn't.
I know the chassis is the main part of a good go kart, but they still have four very important tires, toe and camber on front wheels, rear axle position, driver seat position, a hole universe of small details and adjustments that could realistically affect handling.
Can you imagine how awesome could it be? Fifteen or more small racing cars leaving a cloud of smelly blue smoke, with that tiny tires flexing through the turns like we can't see on any other game...

A lollipop man would fit perfectly with the possibility of really control the car on a pitstop.
I mean, you have to stop in a certain place (this already occours, and people can train to do it perfectly, as real drivers do). Then, while changing tires, you have to set neutral/clutch and push the brake pedal (to avoid wheel spin, mainly on center lock racing wheels). When it's finished, the guy turns the lollipop to the "throttle + gear" side. With the refuelling completed, lollipop is off and you go.
If we can do mistakes on the start, why can't we do them on a pitstop? It's just... real.

And pretty bad for the sport, as they don't give a ****. It's just what Max Mosley's been saying for years, "you can't trust them as teams".
And what do you think about the BF1 in LFS? It's the first car from BMW Sauber, the company is remaking their image, and maybe the presence of the car in the game will not be good for them anymore. Who is stronger on the contract, Scawen or BMW?
It's not good to see a team withdrawing from F1, specially when Peter Sauber tried for years to have strong results, tried 3 years with BMW and then, with half an year of bad results, they put it in the trash can.
BMW's image, in my opinion, is damaged at all.
May I remember, BMW suspended their F-BMW school championship at North-America and Asia too. And if they enter DTM, just remember how is that category these days, with cheap false cars, no testing for drivers, just a big fake show...

I'm not even registered on the brazilian league, and if they are coming here to vote, be sure, the credits are all for this great international forum. Yes, I've seen some topics on brazilian forums of people posting about this competition, but I don't even know them.

Just if some of you don't know, people, the RB4 is specially diferent because it's a tribute to Petter Solberg Rally Team. Solberg is a Norwegian rally driver, WRC champion in 2003, and was left without team as Subaru withdrew the championship in 2008. Solberg called some old friends, bought a 6 year old Citroen Xsara and started his own team with his co-driver Phil Mills, with the phrase "this is my life!" written on his front bumper. He's now sixth on WRC, sometimes surpassing Ford and even Citroen, between loads of official millionaire teams, simply amazing... Doesn't he deserve this tribute? :rally_dri

By the way, I'm just kidding, the video is just to give moving impressions of the skin, and I'll send a detailed screenshot set of my model to TVE soon. And guys, all sceenes and ss were, and are being taken, by my friend Velociround, thx Velo.
