Personnaly, i think the settings that help the most to remove the snap oversteer are remove deadzone settings and wheel turn compensation.

Personnaly i set WTC to about .45(personnal taste, also) . It helps alot.

Redownloading and reinstalling would be a good start. The way i see it, you're saying some part of the interface are missing?

The added width is very handy!

I always position my screen close enough to my wheel so that it seems like it's in the car. That way i don't need the one simulated.

Personnaly, i don't really care about real tracks or not. What would be interesting, IMHO, would be a free drive mode in a city or some 25 - 30 miles, exotic sinuous "one way" road.

I really like this game but i really don't care about doing a track one second faster or slower. I get bored running around in circle after a while. Being able to go everywhere is alway fun.

I know ill get bashed for this, but i think the city in NFSthe new version on xBox360) is fun to drive around.

Bear in mind i'm not comparing LFS to NFS. Far from it. I really like the road cars in LFS, i think it would be fun to drive them in street condition.

I guess it's a matter of personnal taste.

Thanx for the keyboard tip. I also agree that those setting are always personnal preferences. I just think those 3 setings can make a difference between twitchy control and stable control.

Hi, im writing this thread because i think one aspect that change the game alot besides good setups is good wheel calibration and settings. I know it sounds obvious but some options are not that clear to a newbie. By default some options are configured so that driving become hard for no apparent reasons.

I'm posting my settings because i think those make controlling the car easier than the default one. However, i'm no expert and they can probably be improved. I know those settings are documented but a template is always nice. Enough with the talk, here it goes:

I have a Logitech Black MOMO wheel

Logitech control panel (4.60 driver)
Overall effect strength :47%
Spring effect strength : 64%
Damper effect strength : 80%
Centering springs disabled

LFS settings
FieldOView between 85-95 degree (where's the freakin degree key!)
Wheel Turn Compensation 0.54
Force strenght 111
T/B center reduction 0.60
Remove deadzone yes

Yesterday, i brought my computer at a friend's house to play it on a 50" DLP tv hooked up via DVI. I played the game at 126(8?)0x720(p).

Man, it not only looked gorgous, but i had the feeling i was driving a real car. The picture was so huge. i always play one a tiny 17" monitor.

I could even do faster time(for me) easily with this setup!

I wish i had 3000$ CAD!

Hi, yesterday, i was hosting a game on aston historic with the XFG and XRG and everyone got disconnected near the end of the race. I wanted to appologized for wasting the great fight the top3 were having. I think i found what was making those huge lag spikes(and disconnect).

So thanx again to all those who joined, and don't worry about lag spike, it should be ok the next time you join.
