Its my favourite car game of all time, the track choices do offer quite a bit of variety and apart from one or two cars not included in the game I find there is more than ample car choice.
First time I played it my mate showed me the XRT and I was in love
Love at first sight??? Possibly, Love it forever? Most Definitely
Great specs you have there,
The only thing i'd change is the ram eventually,
The DDR2 800mhz ram can be a bit slow compared to the rest of your system.
I have had a 3870 video card before too and they are great value, if you were ever considering going crossfire it might be better off to buy a 4850 video card.
Great setup mate
I'd love to see some pictures if you had some
Its not always the case, there is no reason it has to be like that either.
If you want people to stay active you have to repeat certain questions, and its fun to ask your own questions sometimes. I'd assume that nearly every possible question has been asked quite a few times in the beginner section, but it gives the new people to a forum a chance to ask these questions and introduce themselves.
I'd feel pretty left out if all I did was just search the forum for answers and never get to start any new threads.
Exactly like gezmoor said, If it was a real race, once the person is out or crashed they don't repair everyones car instantly and put them back on the racing line.
Without restarts it promotes drivers to be more careful and plan out their race, with restarts the game feels so much less like a simulator.
Thanks for that,
I might only have 60 posts on here, but I love the game enough to have purchased a s2 license and be actively trying to add some aspect to the game, its how I feel a part of a community. After all, without a community feel we are just typing text to each other.
I wanted to use illustrator to do the curves because in photoshop its quite difficult to get the right curves for the shape.
Is there an easier way to get the merge between the top view texture to the side of the car texture more fluent?
I'd be more than happy with nearly 1 million posts on my forum haha
Even 500,000 would be ample.
The thing is, there is always a different way to ask the question, lots of ways actually which gives different answers.
Remember we are here to discuss things. I have heard from heaps of members being turned away from forums for the "flaming treatment".
If there is an issue the moderators will bring it up, we have a report function on every post to give the moderators an indication of "repeat posts".
The moderators can then take the needed action.
When i first started here (in Oct) I made the usual "drift or race" topic to which the moderators deleted it, it was only because I was passionate about the game that I wrote it before searching. I didn't want to annoy anyone.
My very faithful Thrustmaster Ferrari F1 wheel just took 30 volts to its circuit, why you say? I'll tell you...
I went to plug in my wheel just before and noticed the steering to be unbelievably tough, I could barely move the wheel.
I thought it might be a driver thing, but then noticed the power connection to the steering wheel was in fact the printer, and to my amazement it gives out 30 volts.
I checked the voltage on the steering wheel power adaptor and it said "12 volts"
I could not believe it, it still works perfectly on the proper 12 volt supply, i would have assumed that the steering wheel would have fried circuits
That is so true.
Mind you though if this forum had 1/2 the amount of posts then thats half as much time people have been "discussing" live for speed.
There are only so many topics you could bring up, so what happens once they have all been answered lol
Considering the amount of views this forum has, i'm sure the owners would not say no to 500,000 posts (thats a lot of advertising, not to mention views)
