There is a way to implement anti-VPN systems, @DriftingDion had something like that implemented for his LCS Cruise Servers. However, last time I was in contact was around a year ago and IDK if the system still exists.
It does impact the racing side of the game, as the updates that we find necessary are taking a longer time because of the focus on the cruise side of the game. I think most of the community would like Scawen to focus on tyre physics, graphics update and similar, and not parking sensors
I think it's good people are supportive of such a topic. Simracing does strive to be as realistic as possible, and isn't quite cutting it yet with these throttle physics. Of course, 1:1 realism is impossible and probably never will get achieved, but we can get close.
Edit: I think if LFS implements this, alongside the new physics and graphics, it'll regain some popularity in the sim-market. It already is a great sim although quite old, I still think it gives the best feel of "realism".
I think we can't have this with the current physics model, as the tyre temperatures work very weird/different to real life in a way. Watching those early 2010's thermal cameras on F1 cars shows that the tyre's lose almost all of the surface temp created by the warmers 3-4 turns into the outlap. That wouldn't happen in LFS wtih the current physics (I think, correct me if I'm wrong)
I think this is a superb idea, especially if it would be customizable, for example turning formation lap ON/OFF, adjusting safety car speed, standing start/rolling start, single/double file on start. A lot of potential to be thought of
No need to buy a laptop if you don't need a PC everywhere you go, a 300€ desktop will have better performance than a 500€ laptop. And if you're in a cheap market country, 500€ gets you a 4060, 16gb ram, ryzen 5 5500 or similar.
I recommend just using an Adblocker and listening from YouTube directly. uBlock Origin is great, I also recommend using Mozilla Firefox or Brave browsers
Suggestion 1: Add changeable TC settings just like brake balance in the F11 menu. A changeable maximum allowed slip would be pretty nice for some mods, as it'll make the racing more immersive/realistic. Another idea is to have mutliple TC "modes" that a player can define in the setup menu, and just change between those on the fly.
Suggestion 2: Add more hotkeys on the Controls page for stuff like brake balance adjustments, ARB adjustments and TC adjustments if implemented/available on the car of choice. Right now this is only possible through scripting, which is very not user friendly/annoying to set up
Add a Recent tab next to favourites for mods the player used recently. For example it'll record the 10 most recent mods. It'd be a nice QoL addition to LFS in my opinion.
Also, I agree with you on LFS being a product, and a product is tailored to a certain audience. If you don't like it, consider "terminating" your use of it, go to another simulator if you find "taking an L" is not acceptable.
