Atleast I made it interesting for the championship this way. Wasn't my intention however so, I'll forget about this weekend and focus on the future races and secure the championship
Session of Inicdent: Feature Race
Timecode of incident: Sector 2 , right after the chicane
Lap of incident: Lap 43
Cars involved: #19
Brief description of protested incident:
I spin in the chicane and want to get out of the way asap. Some guy hits me so I decide to go around the barrier. This means I miss sector 2 split and that's why I am a lap down apparently at the finish which is not the case.
H&S were the guys that did the 3.0 swap. Great lads and they really have a lot of knowlegde about these engines. I like your 2.0 btw just add some QV skirts and nice wheels and it will look great! We also have a 2.0 16v and they are really fun to drive. They miss the power of the 3.0 obviously but the revving makes it a really fun car to drive
The engine comes from an Alfa Romeo Spider. It's a 3.0 12v with high compression pistons and different camshafts. The bhp on the frontwheels is somewhere around 230bhp.
Here's a short clip of my brother driving the 3.0 on Zandvoort
Yep the car is lowered using FK Könisport suspension kit. It makes the car handle much better. Post some pics of your Alfa too, because these beautiful cars deserve some attention haha I'm aware of the artc155, in fact I'm already registered there for quite some time
Well I don't think I've spent a single moment behind the wheel without smiling. My brother once said that you don't just take it for a drive, you take it out for an adventure and I can see why he said that. Everytime I take it for a spin I get surpised. The power of the engine, the sound it produces and the whole feel of the car is just amazing. Sure it has it's typical Alfa problems like malfunction lights. Sometimes the indicators don't work, the solution for that is putting on your hazard lights for a moment and everything works again
he said he regret the swap already But I can see why he wanted to sell it thought. A full tank costs me about 100E and with a 3.0 v6 you can imagine it doesn't run that many kilometers on a tank either.
Depends what you call by "giving" The crazy guy decided he wanted a new car and bought a NEW Punto EVO. I couldn't see that alfa just being sold to some weirdo so I bought it.
Was already wondering were my competitor was. Well I had a decent run with your teammate so I guess that makes up for you being absent Hopefully I'll race you next round?
Short summary of my race. I thought the event was going to start an hour later than it was so when I joined I was taken by suprise. Managed to set a decent lap and got p2.
Sprint race was fairly dull. I took the lead right after th green dropped and just kept a safe race pace that wasn't too much on the limit. I had some trouble with my rear tyres which seemed to burn up if I tried to push a little harder.
Top 9 reversed meant I started from 9th. I tried to get to the front as fast as I could but collided with feuerdrache and spun. Lost a lot of time there but managed to fight myself back into the top 5. I saw feuerdrache spin in the turn I was approaching and for some reason Niko decided it was time to spin aswell. I tried to pass both of them on the outside but in the rush and adrenaline run I misjudged my speed and punted both drivers off(sorry!) I waited for them to recover and continued my road to the front once again. I got into a good pace and caught up to p3 again when in the last few laps feuerdrache spun once more.
Thanks once more NDR for running the event. And obviously thanks for all the drivers for participating!
Just noticed there is a difference between the two layouts. The online version and the one posted here are different from eachother. Which will be used for the event?
Best advice, slow in fast out. I found out I took way too much speed into the corners and I lost almost 2 seconds just because of that Optimize your lines and use a bit of trailbraking and a 45 is the outcome !
