As a Canadian, this is how I see the Polish language. Fascinating, but insanely difficult Big grin
Still fun to watch

Since I also did a painful search to find the answers manually yesterday, I seemed to have missed that one... but you are right

There is therefore a third..... Lord Hesketh in 1973, 1974 and 1975.

This is what happens when I try and avoid easily-googlable answers haha

Just like Frank Williams, it was ALMOST right.

Nick Wirth was younger than all his drivers for almost the entire year....... until he got Mimmo Schiattarella to drive for two grand prix. Mimmo was 20 months younger than Nick.

There is another one out there!

Frank Williams was two months older than Piers Courage in 1969-1970. He ALMOST makes it, but not quite.

Bruce McLaren would be answer #1. He was younger than all his team drivers in 1968 (Hulme, Bonnier, Gurney)

There is a second example of this.

Sorry, I really cocked up the question that time :P I re-formulated it now.

That person must be younger than all of HIS OWN drivers... by "drivers" I mean someone who entered a world championship event that year with the team.

Team boss will usually mean the team principal/chief (aka.. Ron Dennis, Frank Williams, Flavio Briatore etc etc)

Finding questions that are not easily google-able is difficult.

Question #5:

Which two F1 team bosses were younger than any of their own drivers that year?

Quote from Jussi-Pekka :Philippe Étancelin (born in 1896)?

Yes

That means that, in roughly 5 years, we could have a complete century of drivers. Eventually drivers born in 1996 will be in F1.

Yeah, I know. It still does pass the time tho to try and find the information.

CSF got it.

Question #4:

Who was the earliest-born driver (meaning, oldest date of birth) to compete in Formula 1?

Question #3:

Which driver had the longest gap of time between grand prix starts? Name the driver, and approximate time gap (years/months).

Quote from Mustafur :It was the Dallara 3087 in 1988 which was based on a formula 3000 car, qualified 18 seconds slower then the pole time in pre-qualifying in Brazil.

You got it! As recent as 1988, those types of things happened. The answer was Dallara at Brazil 1988.

You could almost argue the LIFE car of 1990 was an example, but it was an F1 car that just happened to be slower than an F3 car due to general incompetence haha

getting closer, but not quite!

Only official Championship rounds. Too many weird and wild cars in those non-championship races to even keep track, I am sure haha

Indeed you are a fair distance away from the answer. This instance featured only one car which was originally built to race in another series.

Since that was so quick, here is the next question... and this is a tricky one.

Question #2:

What was the last non-F1-spec car to enter and attempt to qualify in an F1 race? Name the car, and the Grand Prix it happened.

Ding ding ding! JackDaMaster is right.

Robert Manzon it is. He is the last surviving driver from the first F1 championship in 1950 (which must be a bizarre feeling).
F1 quiz time!

So, being a big fan of F1 history, I will pick at your brains and see who can find these nuggets of information!

I'll give you guys 24 hours to answer

Question #1:

What is the EARLIEST Championship Grand Prix race that still has a LIVING entrant? Name the driver, and the race in question.

Quote from Mustangman759 :I know in most forms of autoracing they use the front wheels to determine who actually won, so it balances out that factor.

In karts we use transponders, which means we are classified by when the actual transponder crosses the line.

Of course the rules state to have the transponder on the same piece of the kart for everyone, so it means missing/crushed bumpers become irrelevant.

I don't know how the game works, but I assume there is an imaginary location on the car that must pass the s/f? If so, I doubt bodywork would affect the outcome, no?

PS. Is there any way for me to download or get my hands on the .flv or .mp4 video from the stream? I want to use parts of it in a video.

With Firefox, you just install the "Youtube Downloader" add-on (just have to google it) and you can download anything off of youtube on either .mp4, .flv, or if you just want audio... .mp3
