yeah im pretty sure that is the correct way too, the problem is the initial daily rate calculation, 5 people or 3 people. It needs to be met in the middle. That way the daily rate is constant for the whole week which is the way it should work. Its a daily rate after all
If we change it to have teh daily rate calculated with 3 people and charge the other people that rate it ends up being more than $750 so that isnt fair. Stewartfishers way is fair and equals everything out.

My cousin is an ok bloke, just tries to get out on the cheap usually if he can manage it

Thanks to everyone who helped...hopefully this holiday turns out to be an enjoyable one lol.

yeah see how many results i got...what im saying is (again :schwitz is the daily rate is a fixed figure you would say.....why should it change when certain people are not there. It should be the same for everyone per day multiplied by how many days you are there in equal amounts.

Quote from StewartFisher :I did it this way:

3 people staying 7 days = 21 people days
2 people staying 3 days = 6 people days
TOTAL = 27 people days

$750/27 = $27.78 per person per day

So the two people staying three days pay $27.78*3 = $83.33 each.
The three people staying seven days pay $27.78*7 = $194.44 each.

I'll leave you to argue over the remaining $0.02

Thats the figure i was trying to arrive to!....doesnt that seem the fair way in regards to time spent in the apartment ?

I hope people are starting to understand why im confused!

Lets say 3 people booked and paid, then 2 people asked to come....how much do they owe us for the proportioned time they are there?
Rotatox
S2 licensed
why is the daily rate intially counted for 5 people?

What if 3 people were going to stay for a full week. And the 2 others asked to stay for 3 days after we had booked and worked out our daily rate (3ppl)? see why im confused??

Yeah i guess the difference with me is that im the type of person if i saw that figure, would think that doesnt seem right, and would offer more, i just know my cousin doesnt have that mentality so want to know the exact figure.

thankyou, however im confused. The remaining 3 people need to pay $207.3 each for the whole week

How come the 2 people pay 64.3 each when they are there for almost the time? Each of the remaining people are paying over 3 times what they are paying yet they are staying just over double the time
Mathematicians PLEASE HELP me work this out!!

OK basic story is that my cousin is a tightarse, so i want to get the correct figure with explanation so i can make sure he pays the right amount for a holiday apartment we are sharing. Ive been trying to work this out, for some reason, it seems so simple, however it just doesnt work :? Now i dont really care as its not a great deal of money or anything, im just confused why i cant work it out. and it's a point of principal.
Ok so The Holiday apartment will cost $750 for one week (7 days). 5 people will be going in total. 2 of them are staying for only 3 days. the remaining three will be there for the full week. How much do the 2 people need to pay for the 3 days they are there? Please explain it as i'm just baffled why i cant work it out.
The results im getting are either that the total amount falls short of the $750 needed, or in percentage form they aren't paying the correct amount for the proportion of time they are there for.
This has just turned into one of those got to know things as its annoying me i cant work it out

Way of topic for this forum, just thought id throw it up too see what you guys can do

Yeah i havent done much lately becuase of xmas, however as mentioned just need to alter the heights slightly to make it feel more natural.

One thing i noticed is that the shifter is not working in sequential mode since i cut it up, not that i care that much because ill never use it, however i want to try and get it working.

I also need to get the paddles sorted as the left paddle isnt springing back completely, hence downshifting doesnt always work...so still a little more to go.

Once i get everything sorted, ill have to dismantle it, and reglue it as no glue was used until everything is where it should be.

Then i move onto carpet and paint...I have only used LFS for around 1HR since i started making this thing, so im pretty keen to get it all finished so i can start using the game again

silly me! I should have figured that one

Good to see your getting good use from it!

thankyou

Well its still the same as in teh pic, but have fitted the gearbox tunnell cover, it helps complete the interiors feel, however i finally had a chance to play the game with it. (it was a pain in the arse to get it into my house.)

Ill have to modify it a bit more, When i first tried the steering wheel it felt ok. however after playing hte game for a bit i realised that it is sitting too low, so ill have to raise the wheel about 3-5cm.

The pedals also feel a little too close so they might have to be moved further back.

I was hoping to get the carpet in soon, but i want to make sure the driving position is spot on before i go any further.

what area's in particular....the whole unit is 1500mm x 800mm.

its 740mm from the floor to the tip of the guage cluster.

I tried to make it as close as i could to the real thing. almost there, just had to make a few alterations as the steering box on the g25 is slightly larger so i needed more leg room. But its very comfortable to sit in.

Are you thinking of making one too?

Must love that dash.
Red-line is at 7k on that one.

All instruments should be able to hook up to a computer.
If i am not wrong all gauges are controlled by the ECU of the car.
And i have heard there is someone making software to controll this.

You need any asistance on this display, you should talk with the guys on RX7club.com

Lot of brains there that know alot about this.

Must say I would love to have one of them on my comp,
But then again, i got the realthing, and it cant get any better.

This is better if you want to talk in terms of economy and reliabilty i know what they are like ive had a couple of rotaries....good when they are going....and good if they actually worked for a change

I was very close to buying an FD though, still want one, not sure if i could afford the running costs unfortunately....one day hopefully!

Quote from CXC_Simulations :Oh well, these things are fantastic. Essentially, they are very large vibration motors. Think of it as a silent sub woofer. See http://www.thebuttkicker.com/ and SRT episode 4 for more information. They add a lot of immersion.

From what I understand, you'll need the Nitro card, power cable, usb cable, and an aircore motor for each gauge you want to use. You can simply reuse your gauge faces and needles I suppose. I've never actually used Beta Innovation products as they are technically a competitor, but from what I've heard, they are relatively easy to install and setup.

Let us know how it goes!

if what your saying is true about the BI products it will be around $500 (australian dollars) to get teh guages functioning. Might have to hold that off dont despair though, if im silly enough to make this cockpit im sure my brain will trigger some stupid reason why i 'need' to get them

Thanks for that link!

I have no idea what tactile transducers are??

Ok so to get my existing guages to work i need that aircore thing, and the nitro board thing correct?

Is it then just a matter of ripping off the internals of my current cluster and mounting the air core behind the tacho and speedo, then i presume a program is needed to calibrate it? IS that essentially it?

The australian rx7 version came out with a 280kph speedo and a 9k rpm tacho so i think this would be enough, i might try a source one down. I would only bother doing all this if the factory guages works. dont really want aftermarket guages in there...just wouldnt feel right

Do you need a science degree to get those guages working with the game??

Im making a cockpit myself atm, and i would love to do that, however i am absolutely clueless with that. any advice would be greatly appreciated

Quote from 04 rx08 :Are you using the seat track from the car, so it's front/rear adjustable?

Yes, it is a fully functioning seat.

Not really up to date with outguage etc. so that will all be done at a later date if i ever work out how to use it....hardly likely
