There were plenty of full servers when I started going online in mid-2008-ish, but it's now a rare thing to see more than 1 full public server since CTRA closed. It wasn't just people losing hope on the VWS postponement.
The devs only gave a monkey's about Tier 3 all this time, really.
It's been happening a lot more often lately, but yeah, if you find a server with high ping (about 100+) then there's no chance, getting in the apache is going to make the game choppier.
Ah, ok. But to be honest, the AH-64 has been an overpowered helicopter since the MIL-28's hellfires stopped working on vehicles.
I think I'll only be able to see which one's better when the bugs on both helicopters are sorted out, because when you have a heli that makes your game freeze if you look behind and then another heli whose hellfires only work on infantry, it's a bit hard to pick a favourite :/
I do agree with you on the losing grip thing in rFactor, but it's completely up to you to correct the slide, the FFB won't notice it for you as it happens with LFS.
You see, unlike in LFS, rFactor's FFB (even realfeel) won't simulate G-Forces (in most mods), and those G-Forces are what make you notice the opposite lock, it's not the grip and feel of the tyres that will tell you that the car is sliding or starting to lose control.
If you drive a real car, you'll see that while doing a corner, turning the wheel imposes no effort or force, it's only the small G-Forces pushing you and well, "letting you know" that the car is indeed going left or right; if you turned the wheel but the car went straight on, you could notice it with your eyes closed because you wouldn't be pulled to the left or right.
Although I do understand that in rFactor, it's hard to keep a F1 car in a straight line with all the bumps and the wheel pushing to both sides, doing everything except staying on the centre while going flat out on a straight. That's the only thing I hate in rFactor's FFB.
usual temperatures here are always around the 20's, now that it's the beginning of Autumn it's going to 20-17 and by Winter it will be about 10-15º...not much of a change at all, and to make things worse, there's usually a lot of humidity.
It's all tickity-boo over here as well, here in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Nice, cold 20ºC and we still have crazy Norwegians and Finns going to the beach. There's no snow in the mountains yet!
Are you referring to the littlebird?
It's even harder now that the developers got the players to spend a month playing just to level up (from 20 to 21).
there are cases like Shadowww (E. Reijans) whose S2 account got permabanned and now he's stopped being the idiot spammer he used to be.
I don't think Tomba/TamelCoe is going that way though, and who knows what went through his head for him to become an **** in the first place.
I was already fuming after the 3rd paragraph.
Of course, there always are the sensacionalist idiots in journalism who decide to make an unfortunate tragedy a reason why racing should end altogether. Of course, they pick on the large field, the dangerous 1.5 mile track and all the other aspects that made the LV race dangerous. Then they proceed to make up stuff on how racing would've been "shut down" to prevent more deaths, and then start talking about being more strict with safety, proving that they either don't know jack shit of what they're talking about or are just ignoring the numerous improvements done over the years, specially in every sport they (briefly) referred on that article. An article written by some thick bastard who goes on an all-out attack towards something without even getting his/her facts right.
(guess I should've paid more attention to PMD's warning before I went on a rant )
Between you and me it's just a question of who's the first one to sign up with the #25, really. Just happened to be two team members with the same favourite number!
