Lap 1, Turn 1 (sigh), NBRbds got me on the way into it, JTaylor span me out on the way out of it.

Lap 2, Turn 3, the tight lefthander. I passed NBRbds on the inside but he turned into my rear and spun me out.

Please take a look at these incidents.

I'd take it like a man, perhaps I wouldn't be happy about it, but I wouldn't embarass myself by whining and crying about it on the forum.

I understand you sticking up for your teammate, but really, think about how it looks to everyone other than Fred and his friends.

This smacks of petulance, like a child taking his football home because he got sent off.

Why not just take your penalty like a man? Ever heard that the referee's decision is final?

Edit: Looks like your penalty has been cleared, so dry those eyes and see you on the circuit.

Quote from dekojester :The new regulations will contain this.

But, overtaking is forbidden until YOU cross the line on the restart/start

OK, well I won't kick up a fuss about penalties or anything, even though he finished the race right in front of me.

(Remember this when you see me on the track FinnWest )

Quote from Stan :Thanks for trying to help dougie, however there no mention of the leader in the rolling start rules.

The release point is a point on the track, not a point in time and the Start/Finish line had not been crossed by the cars involved in this incident.

If I had thought it was a legal move I wouldn't have just let him drive right on by, I would have made an attempt to defend my position.

I'd rather one of the race organisers reviewed the incident and made an official decision.

Could I have an official decision on the overtaking before the Start/Finish line on the rolling start please.

Quote from dougie-lampkin :Yes, because then there's a green flag. The release point is when the leader passes the line.

Hope that clears it up...

Quote from TAYLOR-MANIA :Well if the Green Flag was displayed then I think it's more or less deemed to be okay.

7. Rolling Start Procedures

<snip>
8. There is to be no overtaking until the Release Point is crossed.

There's the rule.
Start Finish is deemed to be the release point.
Could 17th and 18th placed drivers (for example) start racing each other two turns before the pit straight just because the leaders have been given the green flag?

I tapped McColl99's rear in the left hand hairpin, causing him to spin, however I did wait for him to get in front of me before I continued. (Sorry McColl)

Also, at the rolling start, FinnWest came flying past me before the Start/Finish line. (Sorry FinnWest).

I vote for a straight through race, pit when/if you need new tyres, or go slower and try to get away without pitting.

Sounds a lot more interesting than a mid race safety period!

Surely I am not such bad company that I deserved a 'frownie'!

I'm on a high 1:56 with a HUGE repair bill!

Thanks Pimp, I knew you were not saying bad things about me.

I was defending myself from the terrible (false) accusations of Technique!

He kicks kittens you know!

I was pretty sure the only person I wrecked was myself. I did fall behind on one start and then came weaving through the pack after there had been an accident ahead, so that might have looked like I caused something maybe?

Oh and I lost it once on the rolling start practices and someone behind sadly got tangled up with me, they were even kind enough to apologise to ME!

I'm usually so slow that I'd find it hard to wreck ANYONE unless they are lapping me!

It was good to try some of the combinations that we will be using in the Cup anyway. The rolling start needs some work and so does the time spent behind the safety car I think, however that's just my personal opinion.

Room for one more?

I've had LFS since the demo days but have been away from LFS for ages and am so slow now that I consider myself a beginner.
