But they release content to attract new customers,but the new content is almost undriveable,and doesnt make me wanna keep racing it,they really need to knuckle down and focus on the important stuff,then release some content thats half decent,i love laguna seca but theres been next to no work done since release,fortunately Bathurst is the jewel in that sim,my fav track of all and its the best version of it yet.

unfortunately the biggest areas that need work are FFB, Phys, MP,something im not sure they can get right,they need to focus on these key areas instead of releasing pre alpha tracks that are almost imposible to drive.
the physics are just,meh,very hit and miss,but still along way to go,fingers crossed it dont get watered down for the consoles,almost like it is now

lets be realistic here,Le Mans circuit is tough on car but not that tough on driver,concentration,reliability and lapping slower cars are the key reasons to success.
tough endurance races are Sebring,Spa and Bathurst(1000k and 12h)
and im sure if my life depended on my actions,my concentration would be higher than if racing LFS.

thats why they have 2 or 3 drivers,max stint maybe 3 hrs and only porsche curves are high g,Mcnish is known to be aggressive amongst traffic,probably his fault again,just like last year.

these ultra fast cars are nice,but im a fan of the slower stuff,makes for closer racing,thats why i really only touch the caterham and atoms,although i do like the racers and f1 68(gorgeous sound),but unfortunately fast cars sells more copies.

some facts about the incident,it wasnt a river or lake they drove into,its what we Brits call a ford,a small stream crossing a road which is normally easily driven through but because of the heavy rain over the past week or so,it was heavily swollen,so much so that it would easily fit the description of a river.
It was so swollen that the height markers was under the level of the river,now if the people are unfamiliar with the area then they really needed to think twice about proceeding,they took the wrong option,the car was overturned and floated 300 yards away from the road,making it very difficult for help to get to them,the lady got out but the man and his dog,sadly,didnt.
It was a very sad incident but one that highlights the problem of old people making poor decisions at critical times.
the only vehicles that could cross it were HGV`s and tractors,something with height and weight.

yeah the shift 2 content would be owned by EA but they have taken the basic 3d world and layout and stripped the buildings out and replaced with they`re own 3d models and textures,narrowed some of the tracks(bathurst) and made alot more tweaks using community feedback(pictures and vids),overall even though the current content isnt laser scanned,the tracks are looking very accurate.

Alot of the tracks were Shift 2 content,they have been reworked and tweaked but not massively different,the cars on the other hand,well they are new,with rewritten physics,force feedback and lighting plus DX11 support.

the ffb seems to have taken a backwards step,in the turns the car just loses all ffb until you run wide and run over the kerbs or you striaghten the car out,seems to be 1 step forward and 2 back with the ffb at the mo

got the latest build and the caterham is fantastic,once i had tweaked the setup it became very familiar,understeer on turn in and slidey on the way out,just how i like it

goto users\<yourname>\my documents\cars and edit the graphicsconfig.xml file so it matches your desktop resolution,i can use a higher res than desktop but only with dx9,with dx11 i get black screen unless i drop back to matching res.
